It’s to try and prevent my blood clotting because I’m having twins, plus my bmi and age risk factorsCan I ask what these injections are for?

I always get a weird taste in my mouth at 3+1. Kind of metallic. That’s the signal I use to know to test. Hadn’t been wrong yet (4/4).What was your earliest pregnancy symptom?
Google always says things like “missed period” or “sore boobs” but thats weeks in, did anyone have a weird or wonderful symptom earlier than that?
I’m so happy for you that everything went well. Sounds a lot like both of my births. I hate that people demonise caesarean births and scare people because they’re not all scary situations. Just let people birth the way they want/need to!I can’t believe my little baby is almost a week old! Going to move over to the new baby thread, but will keep checking in here too.
Thought I’d give a quick update on how the section went in case anyone else has one and wants a positive story. I won’t put it under a spoiler because there’s literally no negative, but feel free to skip past if you don’t want to see it.
Arrived at the hospital for 6:45am, was told I’d be second so had a quick sleep while we waited to go down. Went down to theatre for 10ish, cannula straight in and then prepared for the spinal block. It was at this point that I had a little bit of a wobble feeling anxious but the midwife, anaesthetist and my partner all did a good job at calming me down, and I can’t even remember if it hurt or not!
Catheter then went in as soon as the spinal block was ready, which was a bit of a strange sensation as you’re not totally numb but can’t feel any pain. Baby was delivered 15 minutes later - so strange literally feeling the pressure and my stomach deflating as he came out! My partner got to trim the cord and we had skin to skin straight away before they cleaned him up a bit and weighed him. It then took another 35ish minutes to stitch me up, very minimal blood loss (around 200ml which is apparently very little for a section!).
Wheeled back round to enhanced recovery where we got some bonding time as a family. Managed to eat some toast before being sick
Then after around 5 hours we were moved to the ward. Partner was allowed to stay until 9pm, catheter out by 11pm so I was up and walking around and caring for baby at that point.
We got absolutely no sleep in the hospital but all of both of our checks were perfect the next day so we were home mid afternoon.
He is an absolute dream 🤍
Sisters are so special! My two are thick as thieves most of the time.Found out we are having a girl at our 20 week scan, we already have a 3 year old girl so made up that she will have a sisterplus means we can re-use all the clothes I’ve kept

I do! What I've heard is it will probably differ from month to month cos it's paid in weeks but i think still on your regular pay date? I'm not 100% sure thoughDoes anybody work for the NHS? I finish this month and I’m trying to work my pay out but keep getting a different figure each time.
Thankfully my first trimester has, for the most part, been relatively symptom free, but this is one thing I’ve really noticed - I get STARVING. Like sore belly, feeling ravenous type hunger, which I’ve never really had before.Hunger! I remember going 5 or so minutes longer than usual before eating one morning before work and feeling like I might pass out from hunger! It’s not usual for me to be like that and I remember thinking it was odd. A day later I got my positive test!
I’m the same. I have to take a break from meals and threaten violence against my husband if he tries to finish it off for me.I get so hungry that I feel sick, but have to eat little and often otherwise if I eat too much I feel sickjust a vicious circle
Mines was definitely that I was having dreams every night that I was either pregnant or actually had a baby! What was your earliest pregnancy symptom?

Not early pregnancy symptom related but this has reminded me of my dream last night. My other half had said how having the baby in our near 40s means we'll probably only be with her half her life if we lived to 80. It has really upset me as I keep thinking about how I don't ever want to even leave her (she's not even here yet but I'm sure others can relate). Last night probably because of the conversation and we had also been talking about breech babies, I dreamt that during my pregnancy right now (I'm just over half way) I went into labour and she came out arm first, got totally stuck and diedMines was definitely that I was having dreams every night that I was either pregnant or actually had a baby!
Oh my! Why are dreams so messed upI had a dream last night that we couldn’t install the car seat properly and was so scared driving around with the baby![]()
I know I never usually remember my dreams but since being pregnant I’ve been remembering them and they have been wild!Oh my! Why are dreams so messed upthank god that's all they are! I rarely remember them but last nights stuck with me probably as it was horrific!
I think this is some of what I’ve been getting. It might be round ligament pain.Felt the baby move again today but it was quite uncomfortable and then I started having pains in my cervix as if baby was booting me down thereplease tell me this is all normal? Thought they were trying to break out

I had this early on and panicked as I’d had miscarriages previously. I went to get it checked out and they said I had some funny discharge, which they sent off for testing and I never heard back meaning all was ok. I’m now 20 weeks and all is good with the baby and I’ve not had anymore red or pink discharge.I’m 8 weeks and have my 1st midwife appt (UK NHS booking in)
this afternoon I had a tiny streak of red/pink when I wiped at the loo.
Nothing further since.
I know that spotting is either “normal” or “alarm bells”
Panicking. Please send good vibes
I had this and obviously panicked. I bled for about 4 days and rang the hospital, they told me to get in touch with my GP and they referred me for an emergency scan. They were marvelous and luckily my pregnancy was confirmed as okay. It's always best to get anything like this checked out so definitely give your GP a call and then you can go from there.I’m 8 weeks and have my 1st midwife appt (UK NHS booking in)
