The worst news today. Went for an early scan at 9w 4/5 days due to a bit of bleeding.
whikst they found a small fetus there was no heartbeat and it probably died at 6w gestation.
I haven’t miscarried yet and my body still thinks I’m pregnant.
I feel so let down and lied to by my body for the last 3 weeks- especially when the sickness and fatigue have been so bad.
I have another scan on 27/6 and just hoping my body lets it go naturally before then

Baby Hackett arrived yesterday evening safe and sound weighing 7lb 15oz. Just in absolute love and cannot wait to get home and start life as a family of four

Our second little lady is here! She rushed into the world yesterday at 12.04am at exactly 36 weeks (like her big sis!) and when I say rushed into the world, I mean it. My husband ended up delivering her at home.
She’s 5lbs 2oz and 17.5in long and we are all besotted with her. No name yet but Elanna has been happily calling for her BABA all day.

Well, baby flower is here! Started to be induced on Friday, made no progress even after two propesses and then had a sweep at 2cm. Then had the 6hr tablet which was fully dissolved by 3am yesterday, had back to back contractions allllll day and I mean it was horrific, as was only able to use gas & air and I was very sick on it.
Ended up opting for a c section and I’m so glad I did as she was a whopping 10lbs. She’s got fluid on her chest and has been transferred to another hospital to me and it breaks my heart that I’m not with her at the minute, even though I know she’s in the best place. Best day of my life meeting her but absolutely horrendous circumstances. Would do it all again for her though, we’re so in love with her 🩷

Baby boy arrived yesterday weighing 9lb 3oz! I had such a positive induction experience and am so in love with him! Will always be lurking in this thread but thanks for the advice over the past 9 months and lots of love to you all who are waiting for your bundle of joy

Baby boy arrived today at 12.18pm weighing a chunky 9lbs 4oz!
Pessary on Monday didn’t work and after 30 hours I was only 1.5cm dilated. Managed a sweep at that point but then had the gel applied yesterday evening as the next induction method.
Within 3 hours of having the gel I was 6cm dilated and rushed down to delivery suite. Neither gas and air nor pethidine seemed to have an effect and it was a long and painful labour. Pushed for an hour for baby to then turn into an awkward position and my body realise it wasn’t going to be able to deliver so stopped contracting. Ended up being rushed to theatre for a spinal and forceps delivery, with the threat of a section if three pulls didn’t do the trick. Luckily the foreceps worked but had to have an episiotomy and I have only just managed to get feeling back from the waist down, 8 hours later.
Today has been a blur and definitely somewhat traumatic - I’m trying to process it. I had the most amazing delivery team around me though and baby boy is an absolute DREAM! Soaking up all the newborn cuddles and spending tonight in hospital for hourly monitoring before hopefully being allowed home tomorrow.
Hope everyone who has recently had their baby or is about to is doing well. It’s the best feeling in the world, I feel on cloud 9

I can’t believe my little baby is almost a week old! Going to move over to the new baby thread, but will keep checking in here too.
Thought I’d give a quick update on how the section went in case anyone else has one and wants a positive story. I won’t put it under a spoiler because there’s literally no negative, but feel free to skip past if you don’t want to see it.
Arrived at the hospital for 6:45am, was told I’d be second so had a quick sleep while we waited to go down. Went down to theatre for 10ish, cannula straight in and then prepared for the spinal block. It was at this point that I had a little bit of a wobble feeling anxious but the midwife, anaesthetist and my partner all did a good job at calming me down, and I can’t even remember if it hurt or not!
Catheter then went in as soon as the spinal block was ready, which was a bit of a strange sensation as you’re not totally numb but can’t feel any pain. Baby was delivered 15 minutes later - so strange literally feeling the pressure and my stomach deflating as he came out! My partner got to trim the cord and we had skin to skin straight away before they cleaned him up a bit and weighed him. It then took another 35ish minutes to stitch me up, very minimal blood loss (around 200ml which is apparently very little for a section!).
Wheeled back round to enhanced recovery where we got some bonding time as a family. Managed to eat some toast before being sick
Then after around 5 hours we were moved to the ward. Partner was allowed to stay until 9pm, catheter out by 11pm so I was up and walking around and caring for baby at that point.
We got absolutely no sleep in the hospital but all of both of our checks were perfect the next day so we were home mid afternoon.
He is an absolute dream 🤍

Hi all. Long time lurker here, but can finally comment as I am now pregnant! I got my BFP on Tuesday. I believe I am 4 weeks. First time mum to be and I’m SCARED. Is it normal to feel this overwhelmed already? I keep dwelling on how the course of my life has just changed in an instant and it’ll never be the same again. I don’t think I was prepared for how quickly it happened, we had only been trying three cycles. I feel guilty for feeling anxious when I know most people would kill to conceive in three months. Does anyone else feel the same?

Getting induced tomorrow - so excited to know the end is near and baba is almost ready to join us but I am sooooo nervous too 
plus means we can re-use all the clothes I’ve kept

Baby wild she arrived on Tuesday morning! Very dramatic/ traumatic birth. I was being induced, no movement at all, cervix not responding to the pessary. Started to monitor baby around 4am and she was in distress was quickly flipped on my left side and ran down to theatre with drs running behind me checking for allergies and my windpipe in the lift for a c-section. Luckily they allowed me to stay awake and she was born within 20 mins of being rushed down. It then got worse as she was delivered she was ok, screaming and kicking then it all went silent and she stopped breathing, they worked on her for ten mins suctioning and stimulating her lungs, in the end they had to put a tube in her throat to help her breathe and she was rushed to NICU where she stayed till thur afternoon. I bled out on the operating table, horrible feeling yourself passing out, so ended up with a blood transfusion straight after. I couldn’t see her for over twelve hours what was awful! In quite a bit of pain with my c-section and still in hospital, hoping we get home tomorrow

Anyone else cry to their partner/husband about the 1st trimester morning sickness and exhaustion?
I’m sad becuase I’m supposed to be happy but I just feel so sick and tired.
I know people will say “women have been doing it for millennia” but I’m pretty sure it’s only modern women who’ve had to maintain a 40 hour week and commuting whilst batting morning sickness and pretending to be normal

Mini rant; but I follow a few pregnant influencers and I understand it's their job but they literally get everything for free 
from cribs, to next to mes, to prams, to clothes - I could go on. When I look into anything for baby it literally costs so much feel like I'm drowning sometimes. Sorry, rant over

A milestone I never thought I’d get to. I joined these threads at six weeks, just about to go into my booking appointment, and now I’m 12 weeks, according to LMP. I’ve still got five days until my dating scan, and I’m hoping we’re ok between now and then, but I’ll be doing a little dance all day, thanking whatever being that we’ve made it this far
