I came off the pill in December, had a withdrawal period as normal about 4 days after but I’ve had absolutely nothing since! Has anyone else had this happen? I’m not sure if it’s too early to be contacting the doctors to see the nurse - NHS website seems to think it should take around 3 months and obviously it’s now been 4!

I caved in the end and went back onto the pill. I couldn't tolerate the libido/grease and grease 🤣. I'll try again to come off in the future...

I came off the pill in December, I had 1 very short period in April (like 2 days) and I still haven’t had another one, I’m on day 126…please tell me this is not unusual? I am so worried something is wrong!
Hey, I haven’t had this personally but I think it can be quite common. It’s called post pill amenorrhea. I would go see your GP as the NHS advise to allow 3 months to allow your cycle to regulate, you’re past that so they should offer you an investigation. I believe there’s actually a medication they can give to bring on a period if needed.

Ok has anyone else experienced this. For the past 2 cycles around the same time (just before ovulation I think) I’ve had about 3 or 4 days where I cannot STAND my partner. However what is worrying is that I seem to notice other men a lot more/think about other guys. Even guys that I’m mates with or work with that I have never thought about in that way, suddenly now everyone’s a bloody option according to my brain 😂 Oh except my partner apparently! I’m worried I just don’t want to be with him anymore and my feelings were repressed by the pill for so long- I know it can alter who you’re attracted to:confused:

I was on the pill for years, moved to Depo Provera in 2019 but had to stop at the start of covid and was given no alternative other than "deal with it" sort of thing. I had nothing for 4-5 months then i started taking Agnus Castus after reading about it, and it kick started it and i'm now on a proper cycle to the day. Couldn't recommend Agnus Castus enough!

I came off the combined pill late 2016 to ttc.
Fast forward two pregnancies and breastfeeding and my periods have returned ( not willing to use hormonal contraception anymore) . I don't think they are regular yet. However, when I'm due on I get a low mood and irritability, and also headaches. These were something I always blamed the pill for.

Just wanted to share some tips I got on the makeup game changers thread re: my newfound oily skin.

use a mattifying primer - I’m currently using smash box photo finish
face powder - I got the Rimmel insta fix & matte

I feel like these two alone have made a big difference to my skin during the day, I can last pretty much to finishing work without looking mega greasy - slight sheen but not enough to make me feel self conscious. I also bought some ciate blotting papers (only ones available on Asos) which I used just after lunch today and the amount of oil they absorbed was insane! I’ve not used blotting papers since high school but I must say, I’m really impressed.
Thank you so much for this, I’m going to look into these products. I really expected the grease to die down after a while but I’ve been off the pill since March and no such luck 🤦‍♀️

So been having relatively normal periods since I came off the pill around March/April. However the last 2 months it’s gone crazy, my cycle is something like 24 days and at the moment I’ve been bleeding since last Friday which is unheard of for me (I have only ever bled for 3/4 days). What’s more, Ive never had a period this heavy. TMI but I took out my cup after a few hours because I noticed some spotting and it was completely full! Blood was just coming out of me into the toilet  I’ve been feeling very dizzy and light headed which explains why. Ive started taking iron tablets because I’m genuinely worried I’m actually going to bleed to fucking death. Ive never in my whole life had a period this heavy wtf.
hey pixi, long time no speak 😊

What was your cycle length the few months before? If it’s got shorter, it likely means you are ovulating earlier than you were before. It may actually be that the first few cycles you had were longer, and your cycles have now regulated and are actually meant to be 24 days. That would be just within the parameters of a ‘normal’ cycle as you could be ovulating on cycle day 10-12 then having a 12-14 day luteal phase (the time between ovulation and your period).

maybe see how the next cycle shakes out? With the heavier periods, hopefully you’re just having one heavier one but if you get worried about too much bleeding maybe speak to a Dr.

I was thinking of coming off my pill (Cilest). Been on it for 12 years 😬 I’m not in a relationship and not currently looking. Feel like my body needs a break after being on it for so long, but worried about the side effects.
It’s difficult isn’t it - I really wish I was given more info when I went onto the pill about what would happen when/if I ever wanted to come off. When I came off my pill the first time I didn’t notice much difference except an increase in sex drive and I actually felt happier
I stopped taking Cerelle in July 2020 looking to TTC after taking it for 8 years and so far still no period or any sort of bleed yet 😳 currently awaiting an appointment with a gynae consultant, all blood tests and a scan have come back normal. I’ve spoken to a fertility nurse and she has no explanation but thinks ill need something to kick start things. Just got to wait and see I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️
Oh gosh - poor you!! I’m glad everything looks normal. I really wish they would educate women more about what the effects are because everyone think it’s having a baby can be so easy but for the most part it’s bloody difficult and not as easy as they make out!
I hope you manage to get some answers soon. I have heard of them being able to kick start with something to get things going

I was on the combined pill rivegdion just short of 3 years since I was 18. I felt like I wanted a break from all the hormones so came off it the start of December, had my withdrawal bleed then had 2 periods both on the 6th of jan and feb then my March period was 42 days later opposed to the normal 32. I’ve heard the first 3 months / cycles can be very irregular or not come at all due to your body getting used to not being on the pill will be interesting to see when my next one will be !
I’m the same - currently into cycle 1 off and cd34 with spotting. I managed to fall pregnant on my second cycle and now trying for baby no2. I don’t think I’ll go back on the pill next time (if we are lucky enough!)

I came off the pill last year around Christmas time and didn't have a withdrawal bleeding until new year and since then I haven't stopped bleeding for longer than 2 weeks max. My periods last 3 weeks and are really heavy that I'm severely anaemic and have been put on iron tablets and blood tests every 3 weeks to monitor my iron levels. My GP can't seem to figure out what to do. Has anyone else experienced anything like this at all? I would be so grateful for any advice. I'm really stressed out about it and want to end this horrendous cycle. Please let me know if anyone has anything like this and has light at the end of the tunnel?

I'm now just over a year off my pill.

I'm still getting huge amounts of spots that are leaving scars, and my skin is very greasy. I've put on a huge amount of weight that I can't shift. My anxiety is much improved but it has been replaced by constant sadness and I'm ridiculously grouchy, like I almost constantly want to cry or scream or hit something and absolutely everything annoys me all the time, it's affecting my work and my relationships because I just can't stand being around anyone. I absolutely hate who I am now and my vulva skin hasn't gone back to normal, it constantly feels irritated (only on the outer skin and bikini line) like I've got thrush or psoriasis, but I don't. I also get loads of headaches when I don't think I've ever had a headache in my life before.

I'm going to go back on, this is not for me. It's like I've got all the downsides and none of the positives.

How do you know! I never know when I’m ovulating - but I don’t think I have as only came off the pill a couple of months ago! Maybe a sports bra would be most comfortable? Sounds painful!
You probs have pixi, most people ovulate 10-14 days before their period so as you have had a period cycle day 50, you probs did around cycle day 35. Maybe earlier this cycle if it’s less! loads of people get no pain at all during ovulation so don’t even know they are. You can monitor it through BBT if you are interested (that’s how natural cycles works to predict fertile days).
you probably are but don't feel it! i never really felt it before other than when i was on a break from the pill for a few months. now i track my cycle with flo and just when i'm about to ovulate i get all the symptoms, like lower abdominal pain, extra horny (😂 😂 😂) and most of all this pain in my boobs! probably a good sports bra would help. might as well invest in some now that i'm fully off the pill

What sort of pill were you on? I came off the mini pill in about September and since then I've had two periods and some spotting. I'm not sure if it's because of the pill or just my body being really irregular and not getting back in a flow.
