I am FAR too snobby for someone who has hardly any money when it comes to Right Move, looking down my nose at million pound houses because I don’t think the garden is big enough for my liking or it doesn’t “even” have an indoor pool
watching clips of old TV shows such as Eastenders, Orpah Winfrey Show, Crimewatch, Stars in their Eyes, Pop Idol, etc...
using a savings calculator to figure out what I need to save for holidays and moving out (I only have a temp job atm)
reading about random obscure actors/actresses or people that used to be famous
reading about Unsolved Mysteries cases on SitcomsOnline forum
reading people's opinions on random film and TV characters on forums
going on Reddit and Netmums to read about bad stuff that's happened to people (when I'm feeling down about my own life) - it's quite therapeutic and I feel less alone

Our work email got hacked not long ago and I kept getting all these scam emails demanding $8000 in Bitcoin or they would publish my internet search history. I couldn’t stop laughing at how boring of a read that would be
I spend far too much time playing armchair detective for missing persons cases ... I'll see an article (usually in Daily Mail) about someone and off I go ... ditto in the case of conspiracies.
And, like a lot here, dreaming about which house I'd buy if I won the lottery. Except in all honesty I probably wouldn't move!

Looking on Rightmove knowing fine well I’ll never be able to afford to buy. “Planning” amazing package holidays that again, I would never afford in a million years. I also SM stalk massively.

It is very easy to find some people's addresses, or certainly the roads they live in, purely from the information they post online.Lots of house related searching, I spend hours on rightmove looking. Sometimes it's local or places I know or used to live in, other times I just hear a place-name and have a search. Also, house prices....fascinated! Also love streetview and look up all sorts of places. Went to pick stuff up from a school mum the other day and had not only done a map of directions but had streetviewed her road and knew how much she paid for it in 2013.
On a similar vein I've often researched people online, not to do anything with the info, more just to know I can. People are scarily open! Case in point, I liked a picture someone had put up on Instagram which is near where my parents live and she had lots of pictures from round about there too so I followed her. Got nosey one day as she had put a picture up of the view from her front garden and I recognised it as the same road as my parents. Didn't take me long to work out exactly where she lived, where she used to live, all her family members names and where she worked. Just as well I don't have ulterior motives
I love Pintrest, but my God, you can't just look for one thing on there, you get sent everywhere and beyond!
That's fascinating, I'd never heard of this before.
I do that with looking for the 1 star google reviews for cafes/ restaurants too, love a dramatic scandalous review. the most scandalous one i’ve found so far ( in my area) was a 2 paragraph’d complaint about “ not enough cheese on my cheesy chips “‘Pointless’ can be replaced with sad, embarrassing, weird, shameful, pathetic.. anything you wouldn’t happily admit to everyone really
Mine is going on Trip Advisor to look up random places I have no intention of ever visiting or similarly, going on Amazon to look up products I have no intention of ever buying, filtering the reviews to show only the 1 star/‘terrible’ reviews and then reading and laughing at them
