I enjoy welcome to nightvale and it’s on a break untill February right now so I’m listening to Random number generator horror podcast number 9, written by the same people. They discuss horror movies and rate them

Hmmm I have always felt he had potential to be a gob. I will give it a go. You should try the Drew B one from the pod I found accidentally. It’s from her little girl lost book that was written when she was 14…it is MENTAL @skronkywildcat

I totally will. I love ‘wild child‘ stories. Did you ever read Cat Marnell’s memoir?

No but I’ll give it a whirl. I enjoy those ‘socialite’ types. I really liked the Fake Heiress pod! I sort of fell out of the way of podcasts but got back into them through this thread! There’s so much good stuff out there!! I have listened to a few of Joe Rogans - only of people I knew of. They were good too, though very long. The Miley Cyrus one was good! And the David Blaine one was interesting! Oh and Elon Musk!

Listened to some They Walk Among Us, was a bit deflated after 😬 heavy listening but is okay. Until Rylan interrupts with an ad.

Sweet Bobby
Sorry, but she was equally as ridiculous as Simran.
Put some random one on about English murders and the actors had American accents saying “mam” 🤣 ⏹

Listened to Parcast’s Serial Killers before on Gilbert Paul, preferred their style as there was less waffle.

A couple of true crime ones I thought were decent - Paradise (on BBC sounds) and Catching Melanie's Killer

Some other general recommendations (mostly comedy) - Friends with Friends, Elis and John, Parks and Recollection (going through every ep of Parks and Rec which is heaven for me ha), All Killa No Filla, Socially Distant Sports Bar

@Moonflower hey! I just noticed on Netflix that they have made a show about the fake heiress! Looks good! Available from 11th feb!
Thank you! Yes I saw can't wait for that.

I know she did a very, very very bad thing but I do have to admire her not giving two shiny people attitude to life. I like to channel my inner Anna Delvey in job interviews etc 🤣 I'm fascinated by what she'll do next, I can't see her fading into obscurity.

How Did This Get Made is a lot of laughs, if you enjoy bad films and making fun of them. It's on a subscription service but it's only $5 or so a month and easy to jump on and off.

For a free "podcast" along similar lines there is We Hate Movies on Youtube which is very entertaining too.

Been listening to Fairy Meadow today, a podcast about a young child abducted in Australia. Worth a listen if you enjoy true crime.

So far I have listened to a few true crime ones
(Love true crime)
My favourite podcast at the moment is the Leah remini Scientology fair game one
Absolutely loved the Amy Schumer 3 girls and 1 Keith ones so funny and actually helped me through a tough time !

I really like the wondery ones for true crime

That's where Joe Exotic
Dr Death
Elizabeth Holmes
Dirty John etc all originated on

Yeah they usually get turned into TV Series lol

Extrodinary stories by Barry Henderson. He is such a good story teller, some are true crime but aren't told in the way of normal true crime podcasts. Difficult to explain, but he is fascinating to listen to.

Some great recommendations here. Think a fair few of the ones I listen to have been covered like Redhanded, Always Sunny Pod etc. I'd also recommend:

The Rewatchables - Film podcast looking at films that are rewatchable. Some great insights.
Off Menu - Think this has been covered. James Acaster and Ed Gamble with a celeb guest each week describing their perfect meal.
Wolf and Owl - Tom Davis and Romesh Ranganathan chatting nonsense for an hour each week.
The Culture Swally - Two Scottish guys talking about funny Scottish news stories from the week and reviewing a Scottish film or TV show.
The Rockonteurs - Gary Kemp and Guy Pratt interview a musical guest. Some brilliant 80's and 90's guests have been on and some great stories.

Only just got into podcasts and listening to parenting hell and shagged married annoyed. Anyone recommend anything similar?
