This is all I hear about their courses... disorganised and simply not worth the money. She’s so unprofessionalSo I signed up to the pro 20 course, the 2nd one they ran.
So firstly the course was ran for 20 weeks online with 1 academy visit a month, which is why I chose it. There was 3 plans bronze £100, silver £250, and gold £500 I did gold.
The lives were very unorganised, the internet was shocking it was constantly disconnecting, losing sound,ect and to be honest I gave up watching them.
People expressed how they felt the course wasn't worth the money and that the lives needed improving.
Some of these people then received emails basically kicking them from the course. Paige her self then reposted on Instagram a post saying people were not wanted at the academy basically.
In the "lesson plans" it shown what would be done each week,ect sometimes this was stuck too others they literally wing it.
They were supposed to have guest artists and they'd cancel and be rearranged.
There was supposed to be step by steps after each live this didnt fully happen and even now we haven't had a few of them.
The kit they advised on the course was changed to goodie bag everyone was under the impression these would be sent 2 weeks after the course ended in June, so the last live came and we were then informed that actually it was 2 weeks after the last academy visit (29th july) which leads us to the week of the 12th august, when someone got in contact we were told that theres been a delay in the USB being made so it's going to be a few more weeks but the goodie bags are ready so a girl who lives local offered to collect hers and they've refused.
People started to recieved them mid September time..
I was initially refused my good bag after them saying I had not paid the full amount despite that some of the people were refunded half there money & still received one, eventually they agreed but this took a further 2 weeks to send and contained no USB and a pretty crappy thrown together goodie bag. I had to call them to find out I wasnt receiving the goody bag, they didn't think to call me or email to inform of a possible missed payment.
Even to this day I haven't recieved a USB.
Just a side note: the ones who were offered refunds via email that accepted assumed a refund in full would be given.. however once the academy realised how many people wanted a refund they changed this and people were refunded a % of what they paid.. some as little as £10!

Lick & lash is another make up brand, the website its self gives me plouise vibes. I feel like it's in ssomeone else's name but she invested. I may be wrong it's just something that I heard

Your story is similar to my friends apart from she paid in the thousands for physical ones she’s turn up and it was more about having a laugh lessons were late etc
Expecting you to have x y z on top of the costs you already pay
I paid for a one day one-to-one course with them years ago. I was told on the day that it had been moved to the Middleton shop. I arrived on time to a closed shop. About 20 mins later, a girl arrived and let me in. I had to sit for a further 20 mins whilst she opened up, turned lights on, set up etc. Then 2 models arrived... one of these girls had just turned 14 which I thought was disgusting.
We were going to do 2 different looks. Once we’d done the first, it was lunch time, so I went to get a sandwich. Came back 15 mins later and we started the second look.
In the middle of the second look, the trainers phone rang... she said it was Paige and she’s really upset (personal reasons), and that we’d need to hurry up with the second look as she needed to go and see Paige!
I felt pretty pissed off having paid good money for this absolutely farce of an experience. In terms of the makeup... all I learned was how to put makeup on a 14 year old! The trainer said that they use the same base for ALL ages (I was in my 30s at the time, and despite having pretty good skin even if I do say so myself
there’s no way that base would look good on me at all!) As a working makeup artist, I can tell you that 14 year olds have made up zero of my earnings!! At the time I did the training, I’d been working as a mua for 5 years and its real life everyday people that pay your bills. Any makeup trainee should be teaching to do makeup on ALL ages, skin tones and skin types, otherwise you’ll never make it.It was a waste of money and time.
One of my friends did the vctc and it was a joke from the moment they stepped in
My model was 14 too! I bought my own model a few times she was nc10/15 at best, when it came to foundation I asked for it and some advice on shades as I was really new they handed me a nc30 and said blend it down to her kneck. I refused and asked the model what shade she usually used and got the right shade but then they came over and literally caked it on. They really are rubbish at skin. They just slap thick layers of MAC Studio Fix on everyone regardless of their skin type, age, texture ... so anyone over the age of 14 is going to look a state after a couple of hours!One of my friends did the vctc and it was a joke from the moment they stepped in

The time keeping in her academies is non existent and they are all so unprofessional. I visited the Preswich shop a few times and had one particular make up girl do my make up every time and I honestly couldn’t say a bad word about her she was so nice and my make up was lovely however she wasn’t so lovely about Paige and always used to ag her off to me LOL! Other artists would come over and ag Paige off to the girl doing my make up! Also say their shift would be ending at say 6 but Paige would make them stay til gone 8 and she would be accepting walk ins when the shop was due to close and they all hated her for it (understandably)! She also had a girl working in the shop that did blow drys and all the money went in the the same till but the girl who did blow drys would take note of how many blow dry’s she did, all that money would be hers and she would pay Paige rent - THAT NEVER HAPPENED! Paige took so much money off her like one day she made around £200 and Paige gave her £50 and said she would sort the rest later - that never happened!

Also just to add Paige slags everyone off and is not a nice person at all - she would openly ag clients off as they walked out the door! She says the good heart always wins and she manifests all this stuff but had tit always happens to her like getting broken into and robbed and her car tyre bleeping up because she’s not a nice person at all. This is so bad... particularly considering none of these “staff” were employed by PLouise. Paige states on her accounts that she has no employees... so they’ll have all been self-employed. No way I’d let my money go into a till and be just taken by a landlord like that, it’s disgusting. Not surprised they were all pissed off with her

But also my friend raised an interesting point if companies says 90k how Can she afford this massive house and is it not rented or her fathers and her father is rich
I expect she’ll be telling HMRC that she has zero staff, and paying them all cash in hand. Makes sense considering the amount of cash she had in her house that time! And you can bet that those she’s paying in cash also won’t be declaring it all either.
Who knows if the massive house is bought / on what basis (could be a 100% interest only mortgage with her dad’s name on it), or rented?

One of her most senior artists is mutual friends with my hairdresser and when she came in the salon I overheard her saying plouise deserved the break in and hopefully it knocks her down a peg or two and it was karma coming back around for not paying them properly .

Oh yes Ive been in this position but it was regards to the 10k and her staff member was saying ‘it’s all fake the winner won’t get 10k no way’
The BLM bull she posted!!! Why bother saying anything when it’s just going to be lies?! She has ZERO employees according to HMRC, so to post stating which percentage of her employees are black and which are white etc is just balls anyway, let alone lies in terms of the percentages! When I went for training at plouise, the mua told me to use NC15 concealer as a base on the eye on all clients... I asked about darker skinned clients... she just told me to use the same shade!!! The makeup industry is already horrendous in terms of products available on the market for dark skin tones (noted that some brands are making slow progress), without makeup artists and “academies” making it harder. And at the time she was ONLY using MAC for foundations - the darkest shade available was NC55 which is just shameful.
She bought the house, paid over £500k. Obviously mortgaged so she's had some help with that. Not sure if it's her or her dad or both of them named on the mortgage, but she's definitely bought it.
The darkest skinned person they have working there is the model, non of the staff are of colour.. unless st Moritz is it's own race now every single staff member I met was caked in tan.
I love a tan but to have to wear it as uniform is a bit much
Yep this is true too. My friend had her make up done at the Prestwich shop and was told by her MUA friend that worked there that Paige had been slagging her off as she'd had to change her appointment. When my friend confronted her, Paige tit herself: "No babe, I didn't mean you at all, babe- I was talking about another girl before you." Oh, so that's alright then, to ag off your customers! First and last time my friend set foot in that shop.
