In my opinion, 20 years ago and now, once you have the corpse of one of your hook ups on your property,
you should know your Mr nice guy role is in tattlers and ITV will probably replace you with ant or dec.

He was certainly coming across as if he was embarrassed by all of it
Or maybe he’s just embarrassed he’s had to come clean at all I have a feeling there are more skeletons in that closet with him that’ll probably become common knowledge over the coming weeks
He and Stef are extremely media savvy this is definitely a get in there first damage limitation exercise

I mean was he not "Mr nice guy " the housewives favourite ? the public adored him ! when he came out ,they still adored him .It was only after the tabloids got hold of the Stuart Lubbock affair things changed for him ,they had/have no proof of any wrong doing on his part but it didn't take long for them tear him down as quick as they built him up...I mean his wife has obviously known for yrs how could she not? but if someone is making an accusation against an A list celeb of course there gonna chance their arm that's what sells papers..I find it strange he's decided to "come out" now ! unless there's something to be gained ? or maybe like he's claimed it's for peace of mind ,but if he's not planning on a relationship we would be none the wiser ,so can't see why he didn't just keep it behind closed doors?

I never liked Barrymore, always thought there was something off about him. His behaviour following that poor man's death proved this, vile human being who only cares about himself.

I wasn't sticking up for him ,I was using him as an example of a good guy gone bad without proof of any wrong doing

I immediately assumed Schofield decided to publicly come out in order the deflect from the increasingly bad press. Surely his sexuality has been a one of those showbiz open secrets for years? Like someone said earlier, it has had the desired effect because there's been nothing but an outpouring of love for him.

Yes this is what I found odd because if you've just recently come out as gay to your wife you defiantly do have secrets.

Also all this about it wasn't as accepted back in the day to be gay. No it wasn't but he didn't have to get married he could have just stayed 'single' like Andi peters and Stephen Mulhern who are gay but never have admitted it if you know what I mean.

The press haven’t changed - don’t forget that only a few months ago Gareth Thomas was forced to reveal he was HIV positive. Journalists were threatening to run the story and even told his parents he was HIV positive!

Exactly he's a complete tosser ,I wasn't taking his side on anything I was using him as an example of the tabloids leaking a story without any proof ( fact)of course he knows what happened ...He was the ultimate Mr nice guy at one time I was just giving an example of the press not needing proof to destroy your career ,someone said without proof they can't leak anything that's bull in my opinion ! Ok, this is another theory. Steph is in a relationship and wants to move it forward but can’t because she’s ‘married’ so Phil does the right thing and tells the world the truth because he owes her and he loves her. This way he gets to be the brave guy for coming out and the attention that he loves. She gets all our sympathy because Phil did her wrong for all these years so we are happy for her that she has found happiness at last. Because if they just split up and she went on to have a relationship quite soon after the split, the rumour mill would be working overtime. So every one is a winner....
