I refuse to acknowledge that poster. It is one thing to speculate about a person's sexual orientation and entirely another to suggest they are interested in children (which was what was implied in their suggestive post and also their choice of username). Two completely different things: one is fine (being gay) and one is unthinkable (pursuing children). To link the two just for the sake of stirring the pot is morally wrong.

Then this poster followed up with something like "isn't it funny how quickly Phillip responded", as though Phillip has been browsing Tattle and found he was about to be outed on a gossip forum so figured he must break the news himself.

I think it's simply a coincidence that this poster came on here to say that Phillip is gay- and so many of us already knew that- and that Phillip came out a couple of weeks (?) after that post.
It's highly unlikely that someone 'in the know' decided to crumb on TL.

*Edited for clarity
I watched the clip they're talking about and see nothing suspicious at all. I have no idea how this person came to the conclusion he's hinting at just from this clip. I don't like Philip schofield much but there was no weird vibes at all in this interview.

I would put money on Ruth being told (forced) to do it, it’s strange (the timing as well) it’s almost like holly’s doing damage control

He said something along the lines (piers Morgan) that Micheal Parkinson’s was nice in real life as he appears on screen, and that some people are not as nice as they appear on screen. I knew what he was on about. I bet that’s why he didn’t got to the NTA’s because he said the same people win, which they do.

Anyone else think the blind item in yesterday's Popbitch email might have been referring to Schofe?

"Which TV host likes to slink a discreet arm around the back of his female co-hosts on air? Not for any #MeToo reasons. Just so he can give them a little pinch whenever he wants them to shut up."

sorry to be a bit off topic for this thread, but when I looked at the James Grant Management roster of tv clients, it made me wonder how anyone who isn't managed by JG gets an on screen job on ITV. They seem to dominate it which is why every new programme is presented by the same old faces. I imagine it is difficult for applicants to be taken on as a client of JG, so it is a bit like a closed shop. I admit I know nothing of how the television industry operates. I was annoyed to see nepotism in the form of one of the Schofield girls getting a good job with JM. As I said, sorry to be offtopic.

i'd say Ruth & Eamonn were ordered to weigh in with the support. Probably had no choice but to present a united front. how actually weasel-y was PS on that sofa, trying to make himself appear as small & frail as poss. I also doubt that when he announced it to his daughters their initial reaction was to jump up and hug him. Nor do i believe for one moment that his wife's family are wrapping their arms around him in a big circle of love- i have a daughter so can imagine what my reaction would be... unless my daughter agreed to live the lie with him to enjoy the benefits it undoubtedly brought. What a sacrifice tho if she did.
This. 100% ☝🏼

If his sexuality was an open secret for a number of years on the This Morning set, why was his mother saying she was surprised etc? This whole episode reeks of being a PR set up/damage limitation exercise. It has probably been planned behind ITV's closed doors since the NT awards and carefully staged. At a time when we have the Corona virus breaking out, what a load of fuss over a tv presenter's sexuality.
Well his wife must be the most money hungry woman on the planet to set herself up for that humiliation! that would be a PR stunt too far for me anyway....And if they do stay together they'll be nothing but a laughing stock the public sympathy card won't last long ,as they'll both be seen as "living the lie" but there is something strange about the whole thing for sure....

I don’t know about others but that’s probably why he hired Matthew or had him hired by ITV. Keep him hidden in plain sight so to speak

It would of been a nice little arrangement and Phil being seen with him wouldn’t have been unusual because he worked for him.
Exactly. As I've said already, I would love to know what the argument was about that brought all of this drama to a head. For MM to have to be moved to another programme, it must have been serious. Maybe PS wasn't willing to leave his wife for MM. Maybe MM wasn't getting the career progression at ITV that he thought he should get.

Christ if it was true about his relationship with mm (over the age 16), I hope we aren’t going to get the same as when ant buggered up? Ie pip going into the priory because he’s a sex addict and then come back in a year when all’s forgotten and forgiven !!!

I definitely thought this too. I think Steph has known for quite some time. Even the most secure marriage would find it difficult to have your partner hanging out in a hot tub will a gorgeous younger woman all he time.
I hope she has known and has been happy to oblige his fantasy of living his best life. At least she has her kids.

I really hope it was a marriage of convenience and that she and the kids knew from day 1 that was the arrangement, because I feel more sorry for the wives and kids in this situation - in a few months time, he'll be photographed with his boyfriend in a glamorous setting, and the headline will be along the lines of 'he is the love of my life, and everything is perfect'. Meanwhile, his ex-wife will be photographed looking scruffy and miserable struggling to push a loaded Sainsbury's trolley with litre of vodka perched on the top.
I want her to give an interview looking amazing saying yes, our loving marriage was a lie, but Philip was always open and as long as he brought home the bacon, we were great friends and I was happy to play along.
If you read the pre marriage interview he gave (posted a few pages back) the warning signs were all there....he didn't seem in love, was concerned about HIV, was questioned about being gay.....surely she knew, or was ignoring it.

Rylan and Alison presenting it together would be a glorious mess! They would be hysterical. I love them both. Alison is hysterical, her interview with Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford is legendary.
Thanks for the heads up ,i`d never seen that ,so just stuck it on youtube.Couldn`t agree more ,i love Alison anyway ,she really is genuine ,(unlike Holly) ,and her and Rylan would make an awesome pairing..:)

I've long suspected Dec is gay too but his family are staunch Roman Catholics and he is practising. Nearly became a priest! But I swear I have more chemistry with my postman than he does with his wife. They look like mother and son.

Ant is the shagger/drunk/cokehead.
Bang on......

Years ago there was a tv presenter that got a court injunction against the media running a story about an affair he had had, ive always thought this was Philip
I read somewhere that if something like this happens, the media will run lots of "non stories" just so that celebrities face and name is in the news in the hope that people put 2+2 together.
