Flackers hosted a big ratings show, but she didn't get the same support when she needed it.

The clout Schofield has is clearly more huge than any of us could ever have imagined - but we've seen it at work.

Just read that Holly has quit Celebrity Juice along with her hubby. Wondering if she's trying to clean up her image a bit. The way things are going I can't see her and PS continuing to present This Morning by this time next year.

Were they all told to play along with this or face attacks from the Press, public humiliation and/or the sack by someone up on high
- the boss of ITV,
- their Agent,
- The Godfather of the mafia
- whoever,
or all of the above?

I think she (and her people and ITV) must be massively aware of the increased interest around PS and around her now and let's face it, there seems to be much dirt to kick up about Holly and her family. Like I said on my earlier comment unless she made serious changes (which she now appears to be) I don't think she'll be presenting This Morning by this time next year, certainly not with Phillip Schofield anyway.

Interesting, because her ex who previously slated her is full of guilt now and admitted he was a tosser in the way he behaved towards her and what he said publicly. And her bf showed us the 'violence' was basically a massive smear (what really happened on that night is a hugely different version of events to the ones the tabloids sold us). It's one thing having the press intrude on your private life, which goes with the territory, and quite another when they print massive lies about you and set out to destroy someone who was in an extremely fragile way. In fact it's a strawman to say 'you can't just tell them to piss off because the stories aren't positive' because this is the very least of what they were doing.

The photos of herself are neither here nor there - woman can pose however they want and that doesn't rule out that they can be good people too (shock horror). Wonder if you want 40+ men to cover up on their IGs too? Sounds like classic misogyny / internalised misogyny to me (ditto with the comments about her boyfriends and the 'appropriate' way she should have been behaving).

The NDAs may or may not be true but can't see any evidence that she was a toxic person at all. She may have been 'insecure' and 'needy' but again that doesn't make anyone a bad person, it just makes them human and women have a lot instilled in them by this society to be insecure about.

I suppose our definition of 'good values' differs widely from person to person. She seemed a progressive person with a kind heart and that's my definition - and that is usually the type of person the tabloids really don't like and do not protect. Her last tweet was promoting a vote for a fairer society - a far cry from what you'd see coming from Cowell, or Schofield, or anyone like that.

I only looked into her more because the outpouring of love and grief for her was on a scale I hadn't seen before.

Never mind the tabloids you've made a whole heap of assumptions and false accusations against me here. You have no idea what my opinion of 40 year old men posing naked on Instagram is so how can you possibly say I'm misogynistic? Neither did I call her toxic. I also think her ex boyfriend is a complete tit and I imagine he is full of guilt. The press was reporting on what happened, how that information was gained is questionable but something happened that night and it was reported. It's hard talking about this now which is why I said it should be left where it is but in the interests of addressing your points I will do. I can't understand why you're so keen to believe what some people say and not others - these people in the media all have a vested interest in you buying what they're selling. Take everything with a pinch of salt. Lewis Burton had allegedly been found messaging another woman which is what triggered her to react and cause a row that night. Interesting this woman never sold her story, do you not think Flack's people got to her? Or maybe to Lewis? We only have his word on what happened. What we do know and this is something that I found quite telling is that Flack was told to keep off social media and she couldn't stay away and still posted a couple of times. Maybe I'm old fashioned but how can social media be so gratifying that you need to go against police orders and post something. That tells you a lot about her character. Ultimately what happened was a tragedy, I imagine she was a lovely person. I think she was really normal and honestly what happened that night I believe could happen to anyone. I've had rows with exes that have got out of hand and that snap split decision moment to do whatever she did cost her dearly. It's incredibly sad. But you're making it sound like the media pick and choose who they want to report negatively on and it's just not true. The press will report on whatever is going to sell them the most papers. To tie this all in my mum watches This Morning and doesn't usually buy papers, she would probably buy a paper for PS's coming out special, she wouldn't buy a paper for 'my secret love affair with PS'. If a story is big enough it will break regardless, with only very few exceptions.

I do hope Holly survives and carries on to present TM after PS goes (please let that be sooner rather than later). I genuinely think he’s a dangerous guy in more ways than one, using his clout to strike fear into everyone he works with, so even if they did want to speak out they’d be too scared to do so. I think he is so full of his own self importance he sees Holly and himself as popular as Ant and Dec, remember he had a tantrum when one of the mags had Holly wearing a crown saying she was more popular? Stories appeared after that saying he had a bit of a meltdown as he thinks he is super popular. He always drags Holly in “the sister I never had” “I’ve cried on her shoulder so many times” etc. He has very cleverly tied her to him and if he goes I think he will try to drag her down with him. As for HW, she came in after Fern when PS was very established and most probably saw him as her senior in every way. How should she handle the PS situation? If she said she didn’t want to be involved she’d be out the door like he did to Fern. She seemed to be between a rock and a hard place. Honestly not a diehard HW fan, I just smell a whiff of fish over this. If you’re binned from something the blow isn’t quite as bad if you're sacked with someone else.

Thankfully now you can be whatever you want to be but nobody should be forced to “come out” if Dec is gay (I don’t think so) so what, at the end of the day what has sexuality got to do with anything? This. Being gay isn’t a problem, I’m sure that’s been said here loads, but his ‘coming out’ charade raised a lot of questions and opened the flood gates so to speak.

I find it quite offensive that he has sat there on TV each morning having phone-ins with people that are honest and have called as they feel they can to speak to someone genuine. PS cannot say his is honest or genuine - this accounts to fraud to me. His followers don't care about his sexuality but when you plaster on the TV that you are 'happily married' and give advice, this to me is unacceptable and he should be taken off the TV.

If this does end up as another Saville-cover-up I hope they will all be made accountable for their actions.

I think if he was kind and sympathetic that would be one thing, but he has actually been really nasty to people (mainly women that I know of) about affairs and even just getting in cars with people. Like vicious. I think looking at the way both him and Holly have behaved to people, they must just be really great actors because their hypocrisy is on a whole other level.

I'm even shocked when I look back to the 2012 threads and see that PS was obviously in the 'know' about JS. I just hope the newspapers in this country are watching threads like this carefully and make a judgement call. Shame on them if they keep information that stops victims coming forward.
