I know many people are having weird dreams during this pandemic. Last night I dreamt I went on holiday abroad and who did I spend all my time with?

Bloody Phillip and his ‘boyfriend’ broadcaster Iain Dale. He was really nice but was really pissed all of the time. He hardly spent any time with Iain......mostly with me

I love dreams like that! Then when you see the person on the telly/in real life next, you feel weird and a wee bit violated

It’s definitely down to money and wanting to portray a certain image To maximise income imo. Phil has gotten a lot of work due to his fake ‘family man’ image over the last 20-odd years that has turned out to be a complete lie. That’s why I found his coming out so off putting, it was so fake and that’s what led me to tattle since this is the only place we can openly discuss it. The general public seem to love him still probably thanks to the work his PR company have done, but I think more and more people are starting to see through him. The fact that he still insists on wearing a wedding ring is laughable to me, who is he trying to kid, really. Take it off you old fool we all know your marriage is over fake or not. I can’t wait for it all to come out and people see what he’s really like. It’s bound to happen sooner or later surely

And I agree that if he was going after young girls people wouldn’t be so forgiving of him. Well some would as long as the girls are 18+, but most normal people find it incredibly creepy when men in their 50/60’s get romantically involved with a teenager even if they are ‘of age’. At 18/19 you’re in a completely different place in your life compared to someone in their 50’s. It is weird, I don’t care how it’s dressed up. I wonder what openly gay men like Rylan make of him and his whole coming out fiasco. I bet they don’t see him as ‘stunning and brave’ at all given the circumstances and the fact that people in the industry already knew. I thought Ruth looked super awkward on the day he ‘came out’. She has a good poker face mind.

And Rylan is a good example.

People over there arguing over whether Dec can be gay as it was in the papers he slept with a lap dancer….who "broke up his 10 year relationship"....I'm sorry but the level of gullibility is off the chart at this point...what do people think these PR agencies are employed for and do all day? It’s funny there has been not a single mention of him being gay on This Morning since he came out which further more proves he never intended or wanted to in my opinion and has something more to hide than simply just being a gay married man coming out later in life.

No passing mention of it all, no little light hearted nods to it and especially no items made around it.

It’s very much been quickly carry on like it never even happened since the GMB Joan Collins/Perez Hilton incident.

He really can’t be feeling as if he’s out at all can he? It’s like he “came out” publicly then went straight back to pretending he’s in again

That's exactly it. Maintain the status quo. Keep uploading pictures of Steph and the girls, keep wearing your wedding ring. I think his management team and ITV probably see it as them having the best of both worlds. It can't last though can it? A year from now I'll be stunned if we're having the same conversation.

A lot of this has come from industry insiders (a WhatsApp group of ITV crew who were discussing it had messages leaked, a paparazzi guy posted on FB etc)

This hasn't come out of thin air. The allegations are horrible and they are all over the internet. If they weren't true then why wouldn't one side or the other be aggressively refuting them?

Injunctions do work - of course they do. Laughable to say they don't. The media do not flout gagging orders.

Famous people have PR - who said they didn't?

Lots of straw men / plainly untrue arguments at play here.

I can't stand the dude. But as someone who was around and talking about Savile years before he was outed, this is a whole different kettle of fish. There was a shit ton of evidence against Savile (and there were still people who refused to believe it) but what do people have here? There's nothing.


I think it speaks volumes that you throw that word around with such ease.

Ok so firstly I was only injecting some light humour into the conversation. As Micky Flanagan on his DVD said his Mum had called it early on with Jimmy (whether true, or just for comedy) I just thought it was interesting and pretty funny.

I’m not saying Schofe is anything more than a man who has been caught with his pants down and is now back tracking. However. I stand by the idea that if he does turn out to be ‘noncey’ then I’ll be sat right on my little high horse
