It’s true about the cancer. He has Leukemia. This is from someone who was a patient with him. Hope he is doing better.

I think he's over. I know everyone is entitled to a personal life but an explanation would have been welcomed, I loved Kay but I don't think I'd bother going to see him now. Plus I agree his material will be predictable. I'd probably like to see him on TV with something like car share again, he does that very well. I do believe that he's probably a wick in real life, the belligerent attitude towards cancelling and his absence cements that for me too. Maybe I'm being unfair.

Agree with everything you said here car share was fab but he wasn't the only writer same with phoenix nights even though he likes to take all the credit it had other writers too his stand alone material isnt that great. If there was an illness for him or someone close what a platform he has to raise awareness and a lot of money for charity.
