He’s a supporter of the Lily Foundation, which carries out fundraising and research into mitochondrial disease. I know a child who has this and it’s a horribly complicated and ravaging disease. It’s so hard just to know the child who is affected, never mind being an actual family member. Must be horrendous for the family as the disease is so unknown and unpredictable.

Peter was stood in front of Rob and he turned round as though Rob was touching him and made a comment (in a kind of Oh er carry on film way) can't remember what he said exactly but it was uncomfortable
---

Somebody mentions it a few posts up probably explains it better
Thank you, I didn’t notice it at the top of this page.

He looked ill in the Big Night In video clip posted of him, sounded ill too and his right side of the body hardly moved. A family member of mine had cancer, not leukaemia as the rumours suggest and they went very pale like Peter and lost some functionality in their body, hair thinned out and they depleted completely. I understand he's a private person, however I do think he will announce something to the public in the coming months or year as now he's come back to the spotlight slightly, speculations will mount up and they might be hard to ignore.
His right arm didn’t move as it was probably holding a selfie stick as he was filming himself?

Without ruining the tour for anyone can someone tell me if the person playing the shovel is really who we think it is? I’ve been told it’s a hologram. I saw him last night & personally thought he was amazing.
I thought it was a hologram. Can't see them turning up every night for the next few years.

Same. I went to this tour now and it was CRAP. I find hecklers annoying but the whole idea is it tests a comedian but his standup is such a robotic act that he doesn’t know what to do, a lot of other comedians will use a heckler as part of a joke.
He clearly hasn’t improved then with time, I just checked and it was his 2010 tour I saw him on so he’s had 15 years to sort that out.
Like you say he just doesn’t know how to deal with them. When I saw the headline that he called that heckler Lisa Riley I thought it was actually funny (for him) as she did look like her but I hope for the thousands of people there he didn’t waste a lot of the time talking to her instead of shutting her straight down and moving on

Adult onset mitochondrial disease can happen. Mito is a term for a wide range of diseases of varying severity, and as research discovers more, a mitochondrial element has been identified in existing illnesses, or is being explored eg with ME.

It’s a bastard disease because it can strike ‘any system any time’ as our consultant used to say. Many adults have mild mito or metabolic disease and never know it. Others develop symptoms in adulthood and die but that’s far rarer. Even if you know you have mitochondrial dysfunction you may be totally unable to predict how it will progress.

It can present as regressing/remitting like MS, but a person generally doesn’t regain all lost ground. You could possible describe someone as ‘getting better’ in those circumstances.

But she DID look like her,or is everyone jumping on it because of the weight thing and assuming it's that? 🤦‍♀️🙄
No I think she does look like Lisa. But until we all saw the pictures of the lady we would have to base it of an assumption. Still don't think he needed to say it but it was as offensive as necessarily it could have been claimed. Did he call someone else Seasick Steve too? I assume this person was sporting a massive beard.

He

He was seen frequenting Christine's hospital in Manchester a good few years back when he went off the scene... He just said family issues. Think it was him that had the cancer and not visiting someone ya know
Oh right, that could add up. I heard it was to do with a child but he’s been quite private over the whole affair.

Peter has cancer, (the care is not through BUPA). The reason this got out is because nurses caring for him told people about it - they were suspended. The treatment is currently going very well. That's all I can say.
If true, he would have finished his treatment ages ago. Another pinch of salt needed.
