If anyone gets the chance to see Kevin Bridges live I would definitely go. We were on the front row and he didn't pick on anyone, and I have not laughed so much in ages. I honestly nearly wet myself.

I saw Peter Kay on his second tour and didn't rate him as much as his first. He's good, but noone be disappointed if you can't get tickets. It felt last time like he used all his best jokes on his first tour.

I thought Kevin bridges was rubbish in his recent show. Previous shows I have absolutely loved but just felt this one was lacking something.

Often treatment for cancers etc, can make you appear bloated and look bigger.

After watching last night I said his appearance had done nothing to quash the rumours about him having been ill. Hat pulled right down, sunglasses on, so we couldnt see his head or his eye brows. And sitting down, that is just not the Peter Kay we know. Also the clips they showed right at the start of the video were, I am pretty sure, not him either. I thought they were going to recreate the video with him in, not show the old one. If he was well and wanted to support the cause he would have redone it with the public in the background.

Sadly I do think all the rumours are true and he has been very poorly. I do wish him well and hope he has now turned a corner.

You could see he had sideburns. I immediately thought the same so looked when he turned to the side.

He sounded hoarse to me. Maybe the ice lolly was more than a prop, something to keep his voice sounding better.

Not seen him round these parts recently, then again, not seen anyone

Can mitochondrial disease really lie dormant until your 40s though? I don’t know much about it, only the cases that present virtually from birth and are lethal.

From what I've read, symptoms can appear at any age

No one knows for sure. A few in the secret gossip thread said he was seen in Christies a few times, which, for those who don't know, is a cancer treatment centre in Manchester during the time he was keeping a low profile.

Christies isn't that a breast cancer hosptial? My mum was there a few times in 2003 for breast cancer.

I still don’t believe it’s him who is ill. I’ve heard it’s his wife as she had cancer previously, so makes me think it may now be terminal with him taking so long off.

No it was the way he spoke to people and she is a northerner. Shes worked with plenty of people who she spoke highly of. Also because someone has close friends doesn't mean a thing, many people are friends with people when theres a clear benefit for them as I'm sure you know.

My point was, that's his sense of humour which clearly his close friends appreciate but 'strangers' don't.

I heard from a friend of a friend who knows his family that the tour was cancelled because of his own health. Leukaemia apparently.

This is true, we were in a cab in London, the cabbie had had PK's agent in before us, he confirmed PK has had leukaemia, poor guy, love him and I hope he is getting better

Thing is, when it comes to rumours like this, there’s always someone with a friend of a friend who will corroborate it.

The thing about the leukaemia rumours two years ago was that he was literally supposed to be at death’s door or already dead and there was going to be announcement ASAP... well that was obviously a load of crap...
