Im really surprised how popular he still is. I remember crying with laugther with my dad when his first show came out on tv, the blackpool tower one.

No intrest in seeing him now, i dont know how funny i would find him anymore really.
An ex-colleague of mine went to see him and I had that same reaction too
I thought he stopped being relevant way before Covid, even before Car Share 😭

I admire him for managing to keep private enough that there is no real evidence as to what's been going on or where he's been. Shows those Z-listers who whinge about intrusion are the desperate liars we knew them to be.
Z listers would Instagram a hospital selfie showing a drip in their arm! Anything for the likes/views...

I've never heard of him being famously not-liked or by other comedians?

I'm only going by my southern friends not getting his humour or liking him!

Got tickets for September … front row somehow (my friend managed to get them..) front now at a comedy gig scares me 😂
I was front row for Alan Carr a few years back and I was shitting it in case he took the piss out of me for something but he didn't. 😂

I was surprised at him on the new advert. I know he's lost weight but he doesn't look well, and it's filmed from a distance.

I was absolutely gutted when he cancelled the show. I bought tickets for my dad to go as it’s always been his bucket list to go see Peter live. About 5-6 years ago I got tickets to go see his danceathon thinking it was a show so have always been desperate to take my dad to see his stand up.

such a shame for anyone to go through, hope he and his family are doing well

After years of wanting to see him live (had tickets to the last tour that was cancelled) I finally got to see him last night. I was SO excited but I just dont think hes as good as he was, and believe me, that is hard for me to say after been a fan for years.

Hes lost so much weight, it didn't even look like him. He was forgetting what he was saying at points and just seemed really off. I saw Michael McIntyres work in progress the previous evening and even that seemed more put together than Peters tour. There was just no flow to it, and his deliverance of the jokes and his stage presence just wasn't as it used to be 😞

The second part after the interval was better than the first and the ending was bonkers really, but just wasn't what I was expecting.
Can you give us more details? Under a spoiler if you have to

Thanks. Obviously, you got it thanks to my famous Northern humour 😁

Yep, I mentioned this feud on page 2. Neil Fitzmaurice was quoted, at one time, as saying it would be a cold day in hell before he worked with Peter Kay again. And that was an actually quote in an interview, not hearsay.
Yeah I think Neil took it worse. I was just reiterating for Suzesnooze ☺

I do think this is why he bangs on about kidney stones in his show. 'Here's one illness so you don't ask about the other'.
That is the 'official' reason for him losing weight as he has talked about it in interviews.

I would agree, something like this where it obviously isn't his fault or anything he could have prevented, shouldn't be discussed if he doesn't want it to be. Now bad behaviour or attitudes of public figures towards other people or which they very much can or could have done something about, that's fair game!
