I'm so pleased I'm not alone. I had a terrible experience last week, and I've definitely drunk more and mixed more than this time. I kept thinking this can't be normal. Definitely time for a rethink on the alcohol
I did buy some funnily enough and take it after a big night,Milk thistle may help you.
if I was to drink something like vodka with a fizzy drink my sleep would be terrible but I only drink red wine generally and that’s fine.
You can take it every day as a health thing more than a hangover recovery thing. My mum has taken it for years and when she had a scan they said her liver looked 30 years younger than she was.I did buy some funnily enough and take it after a big night,
I also can’t do a spirit and mixer in particular anymore. I’m better with wine.
try Lions mane for brain fog - it’s bloody horrible isn’t it.I think I've reached the premenopausal point of my life. 41 and for the last 6-8 weeks have suffered with hot flushes, lack of sleep, restless legs, and slightly more hair loss than usual during showers. But to top it all off today, it was the first day back at work (school) after the holidays and I literally couldn't remember people's names. I was sat staring at people, like, with total brain fog as to what their names were
Started taking magnesium tablets recently, and this has helped the restless legs massively but the rest is killing me!! When the kids come back to class tomorrow, I'm gonna be like "who the heck are you?!"![]()
Eugh. I'm with you. I'm bleeding every 13 days or so. They are so debilitatingly heavy and last for up to 10 daysMy alcohol tolerance has never been great, but it fell off a cliff when I was in my early 30s. I only have the odd drink if I'm out, or a glass of wine with dinner now.
My cycle this month has been 21 days. Two periods in a month. Longing for the actual meno.
I’m also getting hip pain sometimes it’s lined to my period making an appearance others it’s just there all the timeJust found this page and apologies if already covered. Does anyone have good recommendations for supplements for joint pain (hip in particular) . There is one for Her Again that pops up on my Facebook but reviews are mixed.
I'm pretty sure it canCan stress cause spotting?
In my experience yes!Can stress cause spotting?
I agree that hip pain is more often that not caused by muscle tightness.I think I've mentioned it here before, but I find hip opening exercises the best for easing the pain.
I'm keeping a note of the spotting. I'm under a bit stress at the minute and I have my other usual stressed symptoms too. I'm also on the mini pill , some people get random spotting as a side effect .I agree that hip pain is more often that not caused by muscle tightness.
As for spotting, it is worth getting checked out if it persists between periods.
Honestly start the patches. The benefits far outweigh any risks. For the small number that HRT isn’t suitable for, it wouldn’t be prescribed if it wasn’t safe. It’s taken a year for my GP to agree I’m in peri-menopause. At 43, I was apparently too young to be showing any symptoms. SMH. For a year I’ve felt like I’ve been going insane. I was fobbed off with anti-depressants and beta blockers & didn’t even bother to renew those prescriptions, nor did the GP notice. Worst symptoms for me.. anxiety, fear of everything, brain fog, anger & itchy skin. Last week they finally put me on HRT patches. However, I’ve done too much research about HRT side effects & I’m scared to use them due to health anxiety. It’s a viscous circle for me![]()
