Im at loss where to start diet and exercise wise. I know i need to do more but am gymphobic
Start at home. That’s what I did. Loads of videos on YouTube it’s just a matter of finding what you like. I do basic Pilates at home. Weights resistance bands etc. up protein and fibre. Small changes. More water etc. I can’t stand the gym tbhIm at loss where to start diet and exercise wise. I know i need to do more but am gymphobic
I used to love the gym but left my last one because it was filled with Gen Zs filming themselves and running around doing Hyrox tit. I’m just fine mooching around with my dumbbells (getting progressively lighterIm at loss where to start diet and exercise wise. I know i need to do more but am gymphobic
Just to add: you can get it online without a prescription if you say it's for vaginal dryness: https://www.theindependentpharmacy.co.uk/ad/vaginal-dryness-1Try vaginal estrogen cream. You get it over the counter in Boots, but there are some prescribing rules for it.
Or via an online pharmacy, its called Ovestin or just Estriol 0.1.
It's worked really well for me for the urgency during the daytime and now at night sometimes I sleep all the way through without needing to go to the toilet. It can take a while to work,so persevere.
I'd definitely recommend it
I’ve read some books to try to understand the changes and symptoms I was experiencing a bit better.
I didn’t buy the books, if I had, they would still be in the shelf unread as I’m not a book reader, so I just borrowed them from the library.
They gave me some clarity on things I just didn’t understand. Having understood things a bit more, I felt more confident in myself when I spoke with my GP. These are the books I read, I’m sure there are other good ones too.
1. The Menopause Brain by Dr Lisa Mosconi
2. You Are Not Broken by Dr Kelly Casperson
3. The New Menopause by Dr. Mary Claire Haver
Do you have any bloating?Does anyone else struggle to hold their pee? I go from not needing a pee to urgently needing to go, really getting me down![]()
A little bit sometimes, it’s hard to tell because I’m overweightDo you have any bloating?
That is one of my main symptoms I wish I could control… the hating my husband symptom! I was trying to explain to him today (today being a good mood day!) that I do “try” and not hate him for breathing or moving or touching anything in the house but I just can not control what verbally comes out my mouth as much as I honestly really try!!!I have been lucky so far really with my symptoms. Just started in progesterone and oestrogen, my symptoms have been things like hating my husbandliterally he can’t even breath and I’m fuming at him. And just some anxiety and depression. Main issues have been period related.
If it persists, check with a GP.A little bit sometimes, it’s hard to tell because I’m overweight![]()
That's a symptom of early pregnancy for a lot of women, too. That is one of my main symptoms I wish I could control… the hating my husband symptom! Just start walking. Little bits like walking round the block, no real goals of time or distance. Just walk with determination (as was advised to me!) Got a lot of anger out too.Im at loss where to start diet and exercise wise. I know i need to do more but am gymphobic
I've got the nutrition geeks one and its good but tbh I've tried a few and they all seem pretty much the same. The vitabiotics ones from amazon are the cheapest and I don't notice a difference if i take those - they still workI know people on here have recommended Magnesium but I’ve forgotten (). I think we need Magnesium Glycinate for sleep/anxiety don’t we? The OH reckons Nutrition Geeks is the best, I’ve seen Wild has good reviews on independent websites. Wild is a bit
for me because of their constant Instagram advertising.
Anyone tried/ got any recommendations?
Thank you, what difference did you notice when you started taking them?I've got the nutrition geeks one and its good but tbh I've tried a few and they all seem pretty much the same. The vitabiotics ones from amazon are the cheapest and I don't notice a difference if i take those - they still work
my biggest thing is it stops my restless legs at night so I sleep better. My friend swears it helps her anxiety - I take so much for that and am still anxious I can't really comment! lolThank you, what difference did you notice when you started taking them?
