That sounds completely and utterly miserable @Zelda buttons (don’t know why I can’t tag you). Have you been referred to a specialist? I know there are surgical options available when piles get really severe.
This is on me but a friend was referred and it caused a hole which then never healed and I am terrified of that happening. 😔

Oh god, how awful.

I still think it’s worth a referral to discuss your options though. You don’t have to go ahead with anything if you feel the risks are too high, but a consultant might be able to reassure you. You certainly don’t have to live with this forever.

She’s Zetta not Zelda so you’ve tagged in another member on a post about piles! 😳

Sorry @zetta buttons I’m not laughing at you, just Mays error.
I feel for you.
A few years back I had dreadful piles - it was even uncomfortable to walk as I had a massive external one. I was bathing in salt baths a few times a day and applying ice packs. I can’t recall if I connected it to peri now but it was truly awful.
I must admit I never saw a GP, I just dealt with it myself (Googled too many images 😬) but I probably should have seen one so that it didn’t get as bad as it did. If I recall correctly, it was thrombosed.
Thankfully I only had one bad case of it during peri. I know I’m susceptible to them now because I had them terribly after giving birth.

How funny, my brain saw what it wanted to see which was Zelda (I’m from a family of gamers). I’m sure the real Zelda will be able to cope with my error 🤪

Solidarity one and all ✊🏻

47, 2 years perimenopausal - mad cycle, bit of hot flushing. It’s menopausal-belly I am currently contemplating, just settle in and accept it or…..? I walk a lot, decent diet, like a drink now and then but nothing excessive. Been reading what meno belly’s all about and how hard it can be to shift. So just wondering how common it is and if anyone’s taken a policy of accepting themselves?

Band of chub just under my (not insubstantial) boobs - which actually do me a favour for once as they create a sort of shelf over the large and its not massively visible in lose clothing.

I’m 38, no idea if I’m in peri but my periods are getting more painful. Currently laying on the sofa with horrendous ovulation pain, feels like I’m being stabbed if I get up and walk anywhere.

I was just diagnosed with adenomyosis and have been feeling like you are for months. Took many ultrasounds and a hysterio-something poking around today to actually get an answer. Taking estrogen likely made the pain worse. Very happy to have an answer though rather than just endless, nameless pain.

Anyone else struggling with the heat - I love summer but hot flushes (plus the addition of antidepressants which make it harder to deal with the heat) are making me wish it was cooler. My hair is like Monica on vacation in friends and I can’t wear make up because my face is just covered in sweat… I think I’m going to buy a proper old fashioned fan and swoon when it all gets too much

It's 16 weeks since my last period and we fly on holiday next week. I remember last year when we went, hadn't had a period for 2 months until 6 hours after we landed then omg! The pain was horrendous.

Reading a bit about it, the high altitude can cause them? Has anyone else experienced it?

I just want to go back to how I felt when I was mid 30s. Able to run and exercise all the time, wasn’t cross all the time, didn’t lose my tit or my stuff and didn’t bloat like a balloon at the drop of a hat.

I now realise why my mum appeared to hate me during my teens. I was an a but she was dealing with me and this.

😞

Just realised i hadn't updated with my GP appt.

To continue with TXA and been referred for an scan and a gynaecology appointment. Then today, 13 days after I finally finished, I have a visitor. It actually looks like this would be right based on my normal cycle and I think I must have just had 2 back to back last time. 🤞 this one remains "normal"

Mine’s late, I feel like the peach in James and the Giant Peach and a hottie is really needed but is obviously not going to happen given current meteorological conditions 🥵.

I’m waiting in for a joiner but my temper is so short… pray for them 😬.

Is anyone suffering from flooding? I’m 52 and I’m just so sick of this tit.
Tried to book an appointment to have a Mirena coil fitted but there wasn’t an available appointment for the next 3 months - I was advised to just keep trying.

I had flooding. I had the coil fitted in April &, while I'm sure results differ for everyone, I haven't had any flooding at all since I had it fitted. I am so relieved. I hope you get an appointment soon & have the same results.

I had a mirena fitted this week. I didn’t know where I could get it done but the did it at the same time as a hysteroscopy. I had been bleeding pretty much month round off and on and it stopped in the days since it was fitted. Will keep you posted!

Was also diagnosed with adenomyosis so that explains the horrendous pain and annoying bleeding. Relieved to have an answer finally. I’m 41.

Have you tried at your local sexual health clinic as they tend to be quicker? There's been a shortage of coils and so fittings are taking longer 🤦🏼‍♀️
