Has anyone experienced really dry hands feel like they are chaffing, this has only appeared in the last few days which incidentally I took a period 19 days since my last 1😭
My hands are a mess atm. I usually struggle with dry skin and use cream about 20x a day (not exaggerating) and I currently have horrible middle finger and little finger base knuckles with crusty looking white dry skin and splitting - not normal for me. I’ve had to use ameliorate to take down some of the dead skin and that is actually helping a lot.

Yes, mine are dry - they're like velcro on certain fabrics. I'm sure the drop in temperature is making them worse too, as this has happened for a few years for me

I can't remember where I read this tip, but find that only putting cream on at bedtime helps, rather than throughout the day, as tempting as it is

One thing that really helped my hands in winter was switching to bar soap. Liquid soap makes it so much worse.

Ah stop I've the worst rough, irritated and dry skin on my hands and never linked it to peri 😅
I find rich hand creams (especially with essential oils) make things worse. Bog standard cerave hand and body lotion does the trick, only at night unless they're crying out for it.

Agree with the comment that liquid hand soap can be aggravating as did washing up liquid for me. I now use the ecover brand, I once tried a standard washing up liquid and could feel my hands drying out and starting to itch very quickly so binned it off!

Wouldn't rubber gloves help?

I’m allergic to rubber gloves 😂I’m on bar soap as well.
Nursem cream is usually very good for me or Dermalex. I might have to go to washing with some kind of emollient next.

I have that as well. Only thing that works is the Aveeno hand cream. The green one. I applied every 20 minutes the first day and now everytime I wash my hands and it’s sorted them right out. I could have sand papered the walls with my hands 😂

I find my skin is drier in the winter anyway. I've given up on my nice hand creams and moisturiser, E45 cream is working much better.

I used to have massively itchy palms 😫
I literally can't remember anything helping sadly.

Is this Nutrition Geeks or another brand? Were you previously suffering hair loss and it’s now back to normal levels? I think my hair is thinner than it was.

Also, my eye lashes aren't as long or thick as they used to be, but eye lash serum sorts that out, although they revert back when I don’t keep it up.
Home Bargains sell a lash serum really cheap . It's made such a difference for me .

I think the cold has a lot to blame for dry hands. I swear by blue nivea creme and sheepskin gloves

Oh my god, does anyone have any advice for dealing with hot flushes and peri-meno symptoms while also dealing with a high temperature and flu symptoms? Coz this is a fresh level of hell 😭

I thought the HRT would help with the itchy skin but I’m 3 months in and I really want to claw my skin off
It’s mainly around my boobs/body/legs doesn’t help that I’m large so my stomach flab is itching like mad 😭

Do you use fabric softener?

It's a misery isn't it? It's one of the symptoms I'd not read of or had been aware of either.
I remember my OH suggesting day trips in the summer and I'd be so unhappy just trying to ignore the intense miserable itch. And him saying 'stop scratching' which, guess what, doesn't help.
It was mainly my arms, shins and ankles so I'd cover them up which would make the itch worse. It sort of made me feel a bit sick and unwell too.
Have you tried any anti allergy tablets like Piriteze? I found they helped. Not miraculous in that it didn't stop 100% but definitely eased a lot. And I also used Aveeno cream for very dry itchy skin. Or similar.
Again I can't say it was overnight miraculous but did help.

Great idea don’t know why I haven’t thought of antihistamine! Ffs brain fog or what!
Will defo try it and see if it helps before I scratch myself to death!

I know you can get itchy as my friend had this as a symptom- one of her first major ones. HRT helped her but she did have to go back for a bit and get the dosage sorted. However, can I ask what your iron levels are like as well? Only because I have recently learnt low iron can bring on severe allergic reactions. Might not be the case in your situation.
