Agree the 2 week cancer pathway is very normal. Especially with things like boobs or bleeding issues for us women.
Really frustrating you did not get any clarity on that call Della.
It’s strange the GP you spoke to could not discuss your results. I think this barrier of not being able to get face to face appointments is ridiculous.
I would be calling them on Monday and telling the receptionist you’re unhappy with the situation as it’s causing anxiety. Unfortunately you have to be an advocate for your healthcare more than ever these days. Fingers crossed

I shall be on the phone at 8am on Monday 😂😂😂

The Doctor was lovely and very apologetic. He isn't based at my surgery therefore can't access/open letters on the system 😒

It's just really frustrating. Anyway nowt I can do so I shall just wait until Monday.

You know if you're getting ovary pain - where about do you feel it? Is it more on the lower abdomen under the belly button or further down near the groin by the hip crease?

I have an ovarian cyst and the pain is about an inch and a half above the top of my thigh and about 3 inches across from my belly button. It isn't agony but I feel it now and then. Hope that helps lovey 🙂

Been lurking on this thread for a while. Love that we can talk so openly about this - really starting to feel it, to be honest.

I feel like I am unravelling a little bit. I’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD and they’ve said that being peri can cause havoc with that - the drop in hormones really affects your ability to cope.

I’m not sure if I am peri or not. My periods are t irregular. Is it possible to get the hot sweats in the morning instead of the night? It’s not when I first wake up but an hour or so later, I’m hot and sweating until I’m drenched.

I definitely have the meno belly on top of an already big tummy of that's even possible. I've got one of those magic sculpt body things and it's so uncomfortable. Hard to accept the blubber just to be comfortable.

So glad I’ve found this thread. My tummy has ballooned this week. I honestly look pregnant! Had a 1 day period last week which was late. Things are definitely changing 😕

My upper part of my stomach has ballooned overnight. It's bigger than the bottom part and really jiggly! I feel so uncomfortable.

I get hot sweats at any time of the day. Could be standing talking to someone and all of a sudden just get really warm and can feel the sweat running down my spine. Drives me insane.

As for the belly it's like a belly on top of a belly. I just look pregnant and finding it hard to shift it too

And me. I’ve felt so uncomfortable all week!
What's that about, is it gas or water? Surely it can't be large all of a sudden. I mean it wasn't flat before but it's gone huge!

Caffeine can trigger them

Hello folk,

Poking my head in to ask if any of you encountered peri under 45 and with normal bloods? And what you did about it if so?

I’m having loads of relevant symptoms but normal bloods, and am negative for pretty much everything else that might be causing them.

I wondered if it was worth pushing for/trialling HRT privately but not sure if it’s seen as safe to do so. I’ve never met anyone with normal bloods and perimenopause at my age so don’t have much of a frame of reference…

I literally could have written this. I’m waiting for a gyne appointment. I’ve got to wait between 6 months to a year.

I posted an article on here 2 weeks ago about Women being more likely to survive a heart attack if accompanied to the Hospital by a Man. In that article was the following
The female sex hormone oestrogen protects against the formation of plaques – inflammation and build-up of fatty deposits in the arteries which can lead to heart attacks. Oestrogen peaks in our early 30s – and when it wanes that protection does too. Women often gain weight around this time, partly because the body tries to compensate for the oestrogen reduction with large cells, which produce a weaker form of the hormone.

It seems like such an arbitrary cutoff date in ways. I know it has to be estimated somewhere, but it’s very annoying being in limbo- I’m sorry you’re experiencing this!

Has anyone experienced more hair on the face? I’m getting thick black hairs near the chin and they grow really fast. Also above lip line seems to need sorting a lot more too.
