My bike comes tomorrow OMG I am so excited! 😂 it was totally inspired by this thread. I love spin classes and have really missed them. It’s the only exercise I have ever actually enjoyed, I’m such a music-based exerciser!

I’d love to know of anyone’s favourite euphoric rides, that have really amazing building music? I’m definitely going to try the pop stuff but I do love house music which I’ve heard is less prevalent.

Does anyone use their own music while following a class?
The EDM and Club Bangers rides are my fave! Also Ben did a Ministry of Sound Ibiza series which was so good. The best workout music!!

So happy to see this thread! My Peloton bike came last week. I'm obsessed already, it's actually hard not to use it every day (my bum/legs haven't adjusted yet, in fact today I've ordered a gel seat to go over the top). Much like @Cloak spin is the only cardio I genuinely enjoy and I'm absolutely loving being able to choose a class by artist, I never like the soundtracks at gym spin classes.
Give it about 10 rides and your bum will be adjusted 🤣

Honestly 5 mins into my spin today I was like...I just don’t think my bum can handle this today 🥴 hope the gel seat works, I used to have some really hideous padded bum shorts that I wore to spin classes but it feels like you’re wearing a huge nappy, not pleasant!

Gel seat definitely works, still bloody hurts though for a little while. A good reason not to stop though I guess ha, couldn’t stand the thought of going through it all again!

I once slipped while trying to clip in and landed with force on the seat - thought I’d broken my tina 😂

My bum was so sore today that the climbs were a relief just to be out of the bloody seat 😬

295 rides in I'm like a kid in a sweet shop - I wish I could list the ones that I loved but so many I rarely do lives but I feel when the ride starts there's always lots doing at the same time so win win. I was taken back by how much I loved Lauren Hill such a chill tough ride!

I remember that feeling 😅

I'm the opposite, I feel like I'm overwhelmed with the amount of workouts and want to do absolutely everything all at once!
Oh really? I guess I know what workout I'm wanting and very quickly all the on demand stuff from trainers I like has already been done. But I'm not much of a spinner so only do that once or twice a week.

I don't know why they even have a meditation tab if there's only 2 classes a week.

So much competition, I'll be trying others as this feels like a brand with a lot of hot air.

That’s fair, I think that they’re trying to expand at the moment and get more content out there but it’s difficult with the number of people they can have in the studios and Covid. I’ve read on Reddit that they’re investing a lot of money into the platform so that it’s not so bike orientated

I used to spend £80/ month on a boutique gym membership for yoga and spin so I am very tempted to order a Peloton instead so I am not stuck to their timetable.

I feel like I was too optimistic last year about how long we would be in this situation but managed to get by with running/ Instagram workouts. However my motivation has taken a massive nosedive and I’m missing spin.

Just nervous about the commitment to paying that much. However I don’t think buying a different bike and using the app will work as well for me... I’m very competitive so feel my main motivation will come from leaderboards.

P.S are the shoes true to size?

The leaderboard is definitely a motivator! Shoes are small, the general advice is to get up half a size

I’m the same, I must have hundreds of classes bookmarked to work my way through. Going to start Andy’s strength program today.

I finished that on Sunday!
My strength test on the first week was 25 squats in a minute with 2 5kg weights, and 20 push ups in a minute
Strength test on Sunday was 28 squats in a minute with 2 7kg weights and 31 push ups in a minute! A my biceps are PoPpInG, plus have lots more quad definition :)

has anyone tried the outdoor running classes? i want to give one a try... i think
I've done a few of the walking ones, may venture into a walk + run class next week - I do hate running with passion though!
