Olivia’s rides are just so unnecessarily difficult! I like a challenge but the resistance and cadence combinations she comes up with are so unachievable!
I avoid Olivia like the plague. There’s no thought to her rides except go fast as possible whilst out of the saddle. Her powerzone rides are so annoying as you can tell she’s irritated by having to stick to zones.

Leanne’s low impact rides are my favourite when I can’t be bothered as they’re sneaky hard.
it’s actually a joke that she’s a power zone instructor, she doesn’t fit with it at all!

she’s also not very clear when calling out the resistance and cadence so i end up totally confused and flustered (doesn’t take much tbf)

she’s just not the vibe for me at all man

on another note i was really enjoying doing sad rides for a while after my mum died, there’s really something for everyone in terms of rides on peloton isn’t there 😂

Usually
legs and glutes,
arms and shoulders,
chest and back
and then a full body bootcamp

I always do a 20/30 minute ride 5 times a week, usually before the strength, during my lunch break because I work from home so its very easy for me to run upstairs! I love the bike classes and instructors so I would choose to do the cardio over strength if I was short on time

That’s interesting. I can’t do his classes either.
I did a Ben class in person and he was delightful afterwards, very chatty and engaging. Same with Sam, he always hangs around for anyone who wants a longer conversation.
Ben and Hannah were amazing with the members! I’ve not done a Sam ride in person but he seems like such a beautiful person.

How do you get into an in person class?
Or try here https://studio.onepeloton.co.uk/london/schedule

I think the classes go live on a Thursday at 5pm.

this gives me hope! i’m a useless runner and we’re dying to get the peloton tread now! i’ve been doing okay on the tread classes on a regular tread so i thought i’d try an outdoor run but boy was it soooo much harder!
Oh yeah definitely it was harder! My other half even noticed a huge difference, I’d never run with him because I would have to stop and walk! I managed 2.6 miles, it was hard work but I feel the tread classes trained me for it. I mostly do 30 minute ones but the changes in speed and incline throughout really help to improve your cardio fitness I think and it’s not monotonous. I’ve just been using a normal tread and casting the app to the tv, probably wouldn’t bother with theirs because I’m doing fine without it but maybe one day!

Ah I pretty much only do rides with 2 of the UK instructors Ben or Hannah F, their music is the best and they don't talk excessively like most of the American ones do! Ben is quite endearing as he always fluffs his words lol but his strength classes are great too. And Hannah is just brilliant, motivating without being cheesy.
Me too, I mainly do classes from the Brits too, always Sam but I like the others too. Although Ben did recently say “Your best self is calling, it’s time to pick up that phone” 🤮🤮🤣🤣

That’s probably the right thing to do. Wasn’t it £10 for all that content ? It’s an absolute bargain. We pay about £40 for it with the bike

I wanted to do the Becs and JJ run but I don't know any of Harry Styles' music so not sure if there's much point! I'm going to do Becs' welcome home run some time this week.
I've done a few Hannah Frankson rides recently and they've been great. You can tell she works hard during them too. No idea how the instructors do it tbh!
I also did my first Jess King ride last week, a 2000s pop one I think.

I've been doing the tread classes as need to mix up routine as getting a bit sick of biking all the time. I am really liking Hannah on the classes, she makes it feel easier. However I'm doing it on Rebook tread, it doesn't cut it. I keep hovering over buying the tread but 3200 is taking the piss abit I think. I've added it to my basket about 20 times I can't bring myself to do it.
The Tread is miles better than the bike! So much more fun and accessible I think

I’ve got the bike which I use quite alot but I’m really tempted to get the tread. Is it really worth it if you already have the bike? Also my bike is in an upstairs bedroom which is over the garage, does anyone else have a tread upstairs?
I've got my tread upstairs! I got the tread first then the bike, I flip flop between which one I use more but my husband is on the tread religiously pretty much every day
It isn't too noisy, the belt is just swooshy and when I'm in the room underneath it just sounds a little bit mechanically in there! Nothing too intrusive at all

The delivery men were fine delivering it upstairs and my stairs have a tight turn at the top, it gets delivered in three pieces - the belt, the frame and the screen then they assemble it in the chosen room

Does anyone here follow the #hardcore calendar? I’ve done a couple of days so far and love having structure. I’m a nightmare for just scrolling through classes to choose from but this way I HAVE to do it. I’m definitely going to continue and excited to see results!
Yes I’ve been following them for a while it’s fantastic but I really need to stick to the calendar and do it religiously 😅 I do it for like a week and then drop off, it’s going to be my goal for January to commit to it fully. There are some amazing results

Just watched some barre. She’s definitely pregnant. I thought she was on IG the pic in the black suit. I don’t tend to ride with her

Looking to hit the order button but one big question... bike or bike+? Is is worth the cost difference?
I went for the bike as it was quite a big difference. I’ll have headphones in so the upgraded speakers don’t bother me. You can buy an attachment from a separate company that allows you to swivel the screen which was the thing I’d really want, so I’ll order that when the bike arrives. The auto resistance sounds good but I also know it might put me off if I can’t match what it says I should be doing, I’m used to spin bikes and adjusting my own anyway. And I’m not an Apple Watch fan so that doesn’t bother me. You can upgrade from the bike to the bike+ within the 30 days if you get the bike then decide you want an upgrade. They’ll let you keep the bike until the + arrives.

I've just recently fell in love with Matt Wilpers though for how technical he is
Wilpers appeals to the training side of life. I’ve picked running back up after a very long time and really enjoy his approach. Becs is excellent too, she really pushes you (in a good way).

I’m the same, I must have hundreds of classes bookmarked to work my way through. Going to start Andy’s strength program today.
