Just seen Cody has been announced as one of the Dancing With the Stars contestants! Wonder how it will impact his Peloton schedule? We need a DWTS thread because I'll be tuning in! Feel bad for the other contestants having Cody as competition. Didn't he teach the Dance Cardio classes? 🤣
He's an ex professional dancer! If you go on matty magiacomos insta he's linked an interview from the announcement and Cody was like shhh don't tell them my secret!

aw i’m so glad leanne is nice in real life, i think she’s my favourite instructor! i prefer power zone rides though, i wish she would do them 😂 if they could swap her for olivia on power zone i would be very pleased! i think olivia is the only instructor i don’t like doing rides “with”

kind of lying by writing the above in present tense because it’s been MONTHS since i was on my bike, really need to get my finger out my arse lol
Olivia’s rides are just so unnecessarily difficult! I like a challenge but the resistance and cadence combinations she comes up with are so unachievable!

So sorry for your loss. It’s true, there really is a ride for everyone.
I’ve never tried any power zones. I kind of understand how it works but what is the benefit of doing power zones over regular rides? Do they build endurance?
Basically it’s building endurance at certain power thresholds that are individualised to where you are fitness-wise. By cycling for long periods in lower and middle zones you end up more powerful and stronger when riding hills/efforts.

The rides aren’t as “fun” as they’re lower key and the music isn’t always the best, but I always enjoy finishing a 6/8 week challenge (I ride with a UK ladies team) and usually drop a few kg and inches if I’m sensible with food which is a bonus.

I've sent the seller a message! Not sure how I'm paying for it yet but feels like too good a deal to pass up on! I definitely don't go to the gym as much as I would like and the idea of just being able to jump on at home for a spin on my lunch break seems really appealing.
That’s one of the huge pluses for me, the fact the equipment is just there and you don’t have to fanny about getting ready, leaving the house, travelling, trying to find free equipment etc

It’s absolutely heartbreaking 💔. Leanne posted on her Instagram that she was one of her bridesmaids.

I use this too, do you know if there’s a way for resistance to automatically update as it does in classes at all? That’s the worst part of it having to constantly switch
I suppose that’s kind of the point of ithe Lanebreak game though isn’t it. I like it as I find it a good distraction having to concentrate on changing lanes!

Anyone got any theories on what’s going on at the London studio? Odd that it’s closed for refurbishment a year after opening, they said 6 weeks but not live classes up for booking and now Sam is off for weeks appearing in The King and I.

At first I just thought they were trying to make studios bigger to fit more in for live rides/workouts but it’s v odd (almost as odd as the Ben’s Army FB stuff, but not as odd as Bradley’s middle aged housewives 😂)

My partner will share it with me, so makes it a bit cheaper. I tried the peleton in the shop but I wasn’t blown away, although that was only a quick demo so didn’t get the full effect! I’m used to Barry’s Bootcamp and Psycle when gyms are open, like that style of class but going to be working from home a few days a week even when normality resumed so can’t justify paying train fare and then classes on top. I think you’re right and I know which way I’ll go just wondered if the people who had ordered an apex ever got one and if they rated it.
Everyone I know who had an apex ordered cancelled their order eventually due to insane delays or just never receiving it, and are having hard times getting refunds also. I got a jll pro bike and it’s great!

I joined a Facebook group where they had set up a stack of 10 classes to do at 9am on a Saturday morning and loads of them were joining it...I thought that seemed a bit culty 🥴 the total stack was 1 hour 40 minutes long! That seems like a very long time to spin.

Just found this Peloton tread! I have the bike and the tread but favour the tread more. When I got the bike the tread wasn't out yet and I definitely would've gone for a tread first but I'm really trying to get back into using the bike. For tread I mostly do power walks, hikes, walk+runs and HIIT runs. I do quite a bit of their floor content, mostly pilates and yoga which are both great!

What’s everyone’s favourite ever ride? I loved Leanne’s Pete Tong ride, I’m sure I got my PB on it. Someone on one of the pages said they loved Cody’s Britney ride which I need to do.
Ben’s David Guetta ride, it’s my new PB. My previous was Matt Wilper’s Tiësto ride (also worth checking out).
