He’s probably jealous of the attention that Josh is going to get for the whole summer, and then for the series. He’ll be trying to cover that up by being the ‘protective’ friend when actually he’s going home and crying into his Disney t-shirt. Wonder if he’s jealous of Lou’s success as an author

I don’t doubt he feels genuine annoyance, just alongside his own internalised jealousy
To be fair I think it only highlights it for the people who follow Rob, as IG shows you comments of people you follow above other people’s. So most people following Rob would be aware of the pod and get the joke. These comments may not be top of the list for a lot.
