Just seems tone deaf!
Agree, it’s like when you are on maternity leave (if it’s just you taking it and not doing shared) then of course you are the default because that’s what you are there to do. Often this just continues when you return to work because you are already in the swing of it. Lou is essentially on permanent mat leave and wonders why she has to do everything for their kids. I say everything when in reality that’s not the case as we know Rob does more than a lot of Dads.I think it’s fair enough being the default parent if you don’t work or have a very part time job and the other parent has a job where they are away a lot. I don’t see how that could be any different? I hope Lou checks her privilege in the book.
Yeah agree completely, what is the best shes hoping for really?! She needs to get back to work if its pissing her off that much then she'll realise that stuff still falls on her and she'll get to fit in a real life job on top of it all tooAgree, it’s like when you are on maternity leave (if it’s just you taking it and not doing shared) then of course you are the default because that’s what you are there to do. Exactly that-we’re constantly told to fight against biology. Just crack on being ‘default’ and enjoy it while you aren’t at work. Maybe don’t write a book if you’re exhausted. Maybe don’t plan all the holidays and see what happens. If anything happened to them as a couple, she’d be insufferable🥱Yeah agree completely, what is the best shes hoping for really?! Rob does do loads as well from what we know, i cant lie the long a trips away from work would grate after a while but she rarely if ever has to deal with the stomach churning dread when a child is ill again and instead of your first thought being for your sick baby its along the lines of ffs I have to be off work again and then feeling guilty because thats your first thought. She isnt living in the real world. I just find naturally that women's brains are more adept for the admin and mental load that goes with it and I say that as a feminist, its not about that its just biology ultimately and I think we forget that men as nurturing parents is still quite new in terms of evolution etc
That all went a bit deep bahaha, I just cant imagine taking her seriously tbh
Edited for big finger typos
I think I know people like her, and that’s why it’s so triggeringIf she had a proper job (unless teaching) she wouldn't be able to have all the holidays they do as no job has that much annual leave. And if she went back to teaching its a lot of work outside the core school hours with little free time. You can't have it both ways.
Exactly the same hereI’m proud to be the default parent to be honest. Nothing makes me smugger to find I’m the one they want, and dad’s forgotten something again- means I can use it as leverage to get something I want- usually a trip away![]()
Yes she looked so different!Exactly the same hereI didn't even realise it was a thing, let alone something to write a bloody book about.
Did anyone see her insta story in the ice bath? I genuinely thought it was an old grandma before i released who's insta i was on![]()
I’m the opposite - I really thought Josh was much better!Yes she looked so different!
Have seen both Rob and Josh on their tours recently. Wasn’t sure what to expect from Rob as a stand up tbh but he was brilliant. Both of them very good shows but Rob definitely edged it for me!
Aren’t they only 10&8?It's very lads lads lads today, and I say that as someone who grew up in a house full of brothers and sports.
I was slightly surprised that Josh asked Rob to explain Talksport to "the mums listening". Also when he was talking about his daughters, he said he was "lucky" that they're not caking their faces in makeup and wearing mini skirts, and then the whole thing about shaking womens' hands. It felt a bit 1950s at times.
Oh god sorry not Rob, I meant Andy Goldstein from Talksport, his daughters are teenagersAren’t they only 10&8?
