I don’t think I listened properly, I don’t think it was that bad
The mansplaining Talksport aside…. Maybe if Lou thinks it was too laddy, she’ll record a telling off and redeem herself slightly…?!
Yeah I thought it was fine but I literally listen to it while cleaning/pottering so not listening too intently. I was pleased that Josh called the guest out for his moan about his wife and the bin bag gripe, proper tosserI don’t think I listened properly, I don’t think it was that badThe mansplaining Talksport aside…. Yeah, he took it a bit too seriouslyYeah I thought it was fine but I literally listen to it while cleaning/pottering so not listening too intently. I was pleased that Josh called the guest out for his moan about his wife and the bin bag gripe, proper tosser![]()
Think I'll give it a miss then!I found Josh to be a bit of a wick today, he had his "Rob" head on talking over and labouring various points.
This episode yet again proved to me that blokes in the sporting industry are the biggest bores.
You're right about the hand shakingand the "caked in makeup" comments - ick x a million!
Rob fanboying all over him was icky enough without knowing this about Andy Goldstein. Now you’ve said that about the silent part- I’m now triggered by the memory of a guy I worked for who did thisMy husband listens to talksport and he hates Andy Goldstein, now I know whyI got the impression he’s one of these men whos all into power play and manipulation by stealth, just the way he stayed quite silent at points (hate it when people do this to make you fill the silence and waffle so they feel powerful, used to work with someone like this and i just stopped talking to him). And then there was very subtle parts where he was almost belittling them, like in a way that if you tried to say anything he would repeat it verbatim and it wouldn’t sound bad
I can’t even think of an example but it was awkward to listen to. And the way Josh & Rob were bigging him up made it feel worse. I really don’t like people like him, can tell he thinks his daughters are ‘how girls should be’ with their no makeup etc and would look down his nose at others. gob.
ok phew. It wasn’t just me. I’ve listened to them for YEARS and loved it but had to turn this one off. The atmosphere was weird and awkward. I don’t think Andy liked Josh? Was making me uncomfortable too!Yeah that was a crappy episode. First time I've ever felt uncomfortable like that listening to them.
Wild generalisation but all the private school kids that I know are mentally unwell or on drugs, or both. I could have Elon Musk money and I’d still not put my kids in oneThe more I hear from Rob and Lou about private school, the weirder I think they are. The early morning school disco is so weird, and Lou's picture of them having a Roman day with lamps with actual flames is baffling to me! You could certainly never have open flames staffed by parents at our school![]()
She's definitely trying to go for the 'I'm just a normal mum' thing to appear relatable when in actual fact she's married to someone who earns a lot of money, has a nice house, multiple expensive holidays abroad each year (even affording to be able to take her dad with to support on long flights) and doesn't have a day job (yes I know she's written a book but that's not a constant 9-5 is it, apart from the period where she was head down writing)My main issue with Lou is not necessarily that she's constantly going on about how hard it all is (I don't have kids and from the outside looking in - having kids looks hard! Although I do think she needs a reality check occasionally) but it's more the 'what am i like i'm not like other girls' tone of her instagram posts.
Everything always has a follow up comment to say how awful she looked, or clumsy she was or how she didn't fit in (for example, her pilates class being full on influencer-esque girls and she looks like a bin bag or something). There's something about it that I find so disingenuous.
I know we all do it from time to time and it's probably harmless and comes from a place of insecurity but god, it's a lot.
I do smile when they act them out- they don’t even try to make them different from the lastThere seems to be a lot more adverts these days on the pod
Thats beyond stupid of both of them, maybe I'm naive but I'm surprised at them!I think posting this on both Rob and Lou’s public profiles is bang out of order.
They both keep their kids faces private, which I think is a good thing BUT it’s fine to plaster a stranger and her childs face on their stories![]()
