I’m sure if it genuinely grated on Josh he would have said something off mic.
Yeah thats a very good point, it's maybe just me it's starting to irritate, change the tune Robert :ROFLMAO:

I've just had a suggested post of the BMW garage in Bromley showing me Rob collecting his brand new BMW x7. I obviously spend too much time reading and talking about eh podcast for that to target me 😂

It just isn’t funny! Like a lot of things he says or repeats over and over. Yet he thinks he is. I have found him funny in the past with parenting stories involving his kids as it’s stuff mine might do or that I can imagine. His actual comedian side though isn’t my bag at all.

I saw Rob and Josh live on their individual tours previously and whilst I like them both and think they’re equally funny on the podcast, robs standup was not good. Josh was miles better.

Josh is way better at delivering lines. He also has quite a dry sense of humour instead of the silly side.

I've said so many times that Josh is definitely the more accomplished comedian, that was evident from the tour last year. I've never seen Rob in stand up so am interested to see him next year on tour.

We saw Josh a few years back and was genuinely surprised at how funny he is live 😂 one of the best stand up acts I’ve been to! Got tickets for his tour again next year and also for Rob. Not seen Rob before, only watched bis stand up on Sky and I also didn’t find it great so hoping it’s better.

I touched on this earlier on the thread and thought about whether to post this or not but hell I’m going for it😂

My ES is a professional sportsman‘s and gets asked for selfies (albeit mostly in Wales) yes he says it can be irritating in the supermarket etc but maintains that a fan is a fan and he will always be grateful for their support.

ETA a lot of the request for selfies are from pushy parents with their kids 😂
WTF is an ES ? I can’t work it out and its bothering me !

It’s also noticeable how Josh laughs at Rob’s jokes whereas often Rob ignores Josh’s quips or doesn’t react.
It’s not every episode - occasionally it’s still enjoyable!!

The difference in their books was marked too (got both on audible free trial). Josh’s was really well written and entertaining, Rob’s - not so much.

Ah I just finished Josh's book and loved it. I'm 5 years older than him so the 90s saw me from ages 12-21! Also listened on audible, he's very personable isn't he. Really enjoyed the book.

I think Rob is a better TV presenter along the lines of Manford and McGuiness but Josh is definitely the better comedian.

Totally agree. I found Robs really hard to listen to, but then I know how hard it was for him to record so I feel a bit of a fool picking him up on that. Maybe I'll try reading his again instead of listening.

I agree on the presenting - I see him a bit like Joel Dommett who has basically been saying recently that he knows comedy wasn’t really his thing and he’s fortunate that he found enough success to get presenting gigs and can read an autocue.

I don’t want to knock Rob too much because he’s made it pretty clear how much his anxiety rears up with touring… but I wouldn’t book to see him live. Having said that, I wouldn’t book to see live comedy full stop!

I think Rob is probably more funny off the cuff than in stand up which is why the pod has always worked so well!

I have to say I like Rob, he isn't offensive and he and Josh clearly have an understanding where banter is concerned and Josh is more than able to stand up for himself when Rob crosses the line, he doesn't take tit off him if he doesn't want to.
