That villa is epic. I can’t imagine it’s remotely affordable for most of us.
---
I found it. For a week in October half term (over Halloween) it’s about $10k, so $5k per family. I guess not as unaffordable as it might be for the whole Disney thing. Spendy but not totally crazy in the context of a Florida holiday.
I’m sure thats breaking the advertising rules and you’re supposed to mark gifted things clearly as Ad, not hide it away at the bottom of a load of hashtags.

Every single story of that part of the holiday should have been marked as gifted and I don’t remember seeing it 🤷‍♀️

I remember Rob in the earlier days of the podcast being so against being gifted anything. It was such a change compared to all the other grabby feckers on instagram. That’s disappointing!

I don’t get the plain pasta either. I don’t have fussy eaters but I thought that was more of a toddler phase? I’m sure if Josh went on about the pasta the way Rob does about the porridge Rob wouldn’t take it well at all!

You're very lucky if you don't have to deal with fussy eaters. Plain pasta is a god send at times. I very much relate to Rob on that one and I'm not a terrible parent who cba feeding her kids decent food, I cook a lot from scratch. Unfortunately my children are just wired that way and I was similarly wired as a child but I was forced to eat what was put in front of me - most mealtimes were like an I'm a Celeb Bush Tucker trial for me and I swore I'd never force feed my own children like that.

Exactly the same! Until you have a fussy eater you have no idea so I sympathise with him there!

The whole thing should have been marked including the podcast, because I guarantee it wasn’t just the villa that was “gifted” - she has tagged the Kissimmee tourism board. Nothing winds me up more than this shady stuff. At least be bloody honest instead of you bleating on about what an expert you are on the holiday, it’s clearly all been put together and paid for by someone else!

And Rob must have said "Kissimee" about 5 or 6 times during the podcast which must have been part of the deal too.
Very underhand and not clear that it was advertising when now we realise it absolutely was.
He also makes a point of saying "we love holidays, that's what we choose to spend our money on" ... well not if its gifted do you Rob.

It’s not just declaring it as gifted either - needs to be explicitly declared as an ad, as per the rules (because that’s why companies gift things - advertising!)

Agree with all of the above. The lack of transparency really grinds my gears. And no wonder he’s so keen to do a special Florida episode! 🙄

The pod could get in a lot of trouble for not declaring, the producers are silly to let this happen. .

I’m sure he did mention it in the pod? I recall him saying they gifted part of the trip, including the alligator boat trip thing?
although I know that doesn’t make the ig posts etc ‘ok’, but I am sure he did mention it🤔

He did mention on the pod that it was gifted that’s how we knew because Lou didn’t declare any of it

I don’t know how the rules work but if it was gifted to Rob would Lou have to declare it?

Mentioning it was gifted isn’t enough, it has to be really clear on anything like pods, radio etc. Hence why on their normal ads when Josh and Rob are reading them out, they say “this is a paid for advertisement by…”.
Anyway, sorry to keep going on. Will shut up about it now 😂

I think the fact that it say's gifted but it is unclear what was and wasn't gifted is where the issue lies...maybe we need to ask on the Hinch page as they are all over the ASA rules 😂

Although I think companies can gift products without expecting a free ad in return.

Vogue Williams today....not one I'll be listening to - unless anyone on here say's it's particularly enthralling!

This one doesn’t really appeal to me either but, to be honest, I much prefer their Tuesday episodes when it’s just them two talking about their weeks.
The guest episodes are the ones I am more likely to skip.

Has Chris McClausland been on before? I cant remember if he was on way back in the early days? He'd be a great guest to talk about navigating parenting and blindness. Then again he's pretty private so maybe not his bag.

Yeah Chris has been on quite a while ago now! I actually quite like Vogue and I listen to every episode anyways. They had a wee chat about her and Josh being on strictly Christmas special together too.
