Is she a bit dramatic over the eldest going off to secondary? I’m going to admit that mine are younger and the baby of our house just started primary school and I was a bit sad but I wouldn’t have said it was grieving. Maybe it is different when it’s secondary school is it?

Very dramatic, especially with 3 kids still in primary. My youngest goes to secondary next year and I definitely will be a bit sad that the primary years are over - but grieving ? Come on…
