She encourages a bit of upset tbh. One minute she says poor MH, family woes etc etc are overwhelming, one income family, all the coordination and organisation required everyday… she tries to be relatable but really I look at my life and I really try to do what I can home made, I clean all day long (I also work full time), I’ve one less child than her. I feel bad because despite all I do I have zero time or energy for socialisation, gym, therapy, 100% food prep, even making myself food. I have to opt for cheaper/budget items because even though I know buy cheap buy twice, I just cannot afford the high end stuff (nor do I get it #gifted). I know she’s worked hard on herself to make sure she works out and eats and self care is important but I can’t help but look at myself and think I’m a failure or I’m lacking in something. I barely get a chance to send photos to my family let alone edit a daily vlog reel. I do my damnest but I’ll never match that level of curation or whatever she puts out. Yes, it might be chaos behind the scenes and she could have 2 nannies but it’s a harmful thing to put out there without context. It’s like posting with a filter on. I’m not saying she has to be negative and show the shite everyday but just a bit of realism or acknowledging that she has X amount of hours child free per day, a cleaner etc.
Do not for one second compare yourself to Orlaith. Insta is her job. Her livelihood depends on how aesthetically pleasing her page is. So she buys expensive foods that look good eg her overpriced loaves that are picture perfect and she curates her page to be attractive eg showing a lovely clean house and a fab stay cation most would dream for.
We have to stop thinking these people are showing their real lives, they aren't. Everything they post is an ad whether it seems like it or not. Please don't compare yourself, we are all doing the best we can.

Genuine question, but does she have some type of eating disorder or major body image issues? A run, 20,000 steps and an hour of strength training in a day with only broth for breakfast? Does she eat a huge protein filled lunch? I workout most days and get 10,000 steps in but wouldn’t do all three, and make sure I eat enough to fuel my body. I have also had 4 kids and have lived with an eating disorder for most of my life so am hyper aware of it in others. I find her content around this very worrying and potentially damaging for others.

Find it horribly invasive and just plain weirdo behaviour the way she records waking up the kids in her reels..I don't think it matters that she's not showing their faces; imagine being woken up by your mother, and she's there with her phone out recording you..

One of the recent ‘DITL of a mom of 4’ began with … 7.15am: leave the house to meet a friend for coffee.

We only have 3 kids and if my other half scheduled that he’d get a kick up the hole.

Orlaith - I know you're reading here.
Have you forgotten about your solidarity with Palestine?
You used to march, share Pal content, even had the privilege of going to listen to Motaz when he visited Dublin.
Now you're silent.
Not alone that but promoting M and S, which you well know is a Zionist company.
Was it just fake solidarity? For likes? I'm so ashamed of you. What a true let down.

In her latest day in a life she goes for a walk, then the gym, and then a Pilates class in the evening - drops of casual mention of doing some work while she was out - and then describes it as an absolutely mental day. Wtf? 😂. She’s so so privileged- how many mums of 4 can fit in 3 different exercise sessions in one day ? Or indeed mums of 1/2/3? Good for her but at least acknowledge it and stop going on like it’s normal - the nanny must have there when they went off to Pilates !

Used to donate to charity anytime she was sent anything free. None of that now. Hand out like all the others. “Midwife” in her bio but hasn’t worked a day in the job since Jesus was a gasan. No need to return to work when you get paid for flogging stuff sure. Needs to take that off her bio..
Kids dressed like something from Little House And The Prairie. House always immaculate. Meals/kids lunches/snacks/drinks always top notch, freshly prepared and wholesome. Not a cheese string or happy meal in sight. Each to their own I guess. We mere mortals can but try 🙄
In my opinion, she screams of privilege.

Not to mention sat her kids down and told them all the gory details of what was going on in Gaza and brought them to protests as she felt it was important for them to know about the genocide.
Cancelled the kids Disney subscription and told them why.
And wore a Palestine necklace.
but guess brand deals are more important now 🤔💭

Has she really just said she has, ‘painted the wall, baked 3 times and took up running’ because there is no ceasefire!! I really think she needs some professional help, it’s awful what’s going on but is she not going on abit much at this stage.

Finally a thread on this absolute pain in the hole. She is always going on about how money is tight with 4 kids (you chose to have 4 kids so really where are you going with this!) and that as a one income family she needs to be careful of spending but then she goes off and buys clothes from some ridiculous shop that make her kids look Amish and spends her time in the Little Wooden Peg buying overpriced shite. I’m all for sustainable but Jesus you’ve to be realistic too!
I do admire her weight loss though she’s obviously put a lot of work into herself and that’s something you don’t often see people admitting.

I suppose the part time job which she can cycle to via Dunnes Cornelscourt to do her big shop and fits neatly into school hours and can be done remotely from her choice of aesthetically pleasing cafes also comes with 6 weeks of Kerry leave as part of the package.

Her content is completely unrelatable and carefully curated. I find it very disingenuous. I also feel this kind of content can prey on other parents insecurities but as long as she has a beautiful, thematic grid that's all that matters :rolleyes:Anyone who watches and feels inadequate please know that you are doing your best and that is good enough for everyone.

I've brought my two children to local protests ...don't see the harm ...change starts with the next generation and it's never to early to educate, inform and endow them with a sense of social justice in a world so desperately wanting....

What does she need an au pair for , she is always at home anyway
She needs time to go on a load of walks so that she can be smug on Instagram and then have the audacity to say it’s hard to fit in around work (what work?). Anyway glad it’s helping her cope with her life of leisure, artisan bread, unlimited grocery budget, free holiday homes etc etc.

I can not understand why she needs to promote her 20k steps a day. She’s in an enviable position that she has so much time on her hands that she can manage this amount of steps. I work outdoors so manage a good few steps a day but 20k still takes a significant amount of time. But why does she need to tell the world ?
There is something lacking in her life/personality that she wants affirmation from people. Like a child doing a party piece looking for a clap. I thought she was going to therapy?

By the time she would have taken out her notebook and pens, had the packing list drawn up, took a photo, edited it and posted it on her instagram story she would have had the bags packed. What nonsense 🤣🤣🤣
