I don’t get why any guy would pay to see some influencer’s nudes when there so much free nudity and porn on the internet?!

It’s part of a deliberate push (amongst other things) in the media to normalise porn (I don’t call it ‘sex work’ as I think that’s another normalisation tactic) IMO. There are articles in magazines (including Teen Vogue) that are singing it to its praises and sharing with its readership how they too can take their clothes off and give themselves up to the online world of wank. There used to be a name for that. Pimp.

I am.

Not all it's cracked up to be. I was top 15% and wasn't hitting more than 800 quid a month so not sure where some people get their figures.

It seems to be everywhere and a lot of girls with any kind of social media following seem to be on it. I do think there is a dark side to it, i watched a BBC3 documentary and its not all 6 figure salaries, a lot of vulnerable girls are feeling pressured to get even more explicit and x rated in order to make some much needed cash.

It's not something I could ever do personally, and whilst I'm not anti-sex work, I think the lines are blurry and I'm not sure if I whole support some aspects of the industry as I think its ripe for exploitation and we're being sold a narrative about OF that isn't necessarily the case for everyone. And whilst I fully support the right for all women to have the right to do with their bodies as they wish, OF stays on the internet forever and young girls who get themselves wrapped up in this and then try to get careers in the future may struggle (whether thats right or wrong), we still live in a deeply patriarchal society and being a sex worker still has negative connotations.

Just my 2 cents anyway...

This thread is relatively dead right now but I just had to share with someone… so… there I was Googling today if I can *actually* make a small bit of £ off of foot pics (times are about to get tough, hours cut at work etc. etc.)…

I got stuck down a Reddit wormhole only to get linked to a few different sites. When I clicked on one up popped a few pictures only I KNOW ONE OF THE GIRLS ON THERE!

Like actually know. Not best mates or anything but we were in the same year at school (we’re 29 now), still live in the same village… I bump into her in the local Co-Op almost weekly. Give a smile, sometimes ask how each others mums are etc.

So now when I see her, I’m gonna see nothing but this image of her with feet covering her boobs up to the camera. Hers was definitely one of the more risqué poses, so I don’t know what’s behind her paywall etc. 1000000% Everyone to their own and all (I mean I was all for anonymous foot posting pics) but her socials are so wholesome, she’s always been so quiet and reserved? It’s 100% her and I just had to tell someone as I don’t quite know how to explain how I came across it lol … even my hubby is best friends with her brother lol I’m just so shocked 🤣🤣🤣

I know someone who is on it and they have actually lost their secure day job due to it coming to their managers attention- in her case she has lost a well paid, secure job with career progression prospects for a couple of quid and her “mates”’passing round photos and having a laugh at her.

She still thinks it’s empowering and she’s going to become a millionaire.......

I am a vocal supporter of s*x workers, but I still have my doubts about only fans. Not only because of young girls ‘giving it a try’ and there being life long consequences, but also because of the techniques that are publicised for them to gain an audience; ie. a girl/woman messged my 16 year old son on Instagram, as if she was as interested in getting to know him... but really she had a long conversation with him just to - in the end - turn round and try to persuade him to join her Onlyfans. Luckily, as soon as she first messaged him he clocked her and thought that was what she was going to do, and showed me her message and profile when she first messaged him and said ‘I bet she just wants me to sign up to her OF’. He went along with the conversation just to see if we were right... and we were. Luring teenagers in to view your s*x work, and taking advantage of the feelings that arise in the parasocial relationships between an influencer and their audience seems a bit ‘sleazy’ to me.

This is what my boyfriend and I always say about these sorts of things as well as Snapchat premium which went the same way for a while!

You can find pretty much anything to your liking on the web these days for free so why pay for it?!
I think it’s a reaction to the porn overload. You’re right that you can find any type of porn featuring any type of person for free these days. It’s too easy, there’s no thrill anymore. The people on Only Fans (to my knowledge) mostly already have a fan base through YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, etc. Their fans ‘know’ them - as much as you can know anyone from the internet - they’re familiar with their personalities, they probably have similar interests, they like this specific person beyond just the image. They likely even have a crush on the person, and for a few quid can see their dirty photos and pay to interact with them, receiving validation when in real life, in all likelihood they wouldn’t communicate with them at all

I basically just think it’s people literally buying into their fantasies about online personalities. People have always done it - back before the internet you might have a favourite porn star who you’d specifically keep photos of to do your business to, despite other porn stars having similar looks. People seem to form attraction to specific people, and paying for their nudes seems like your best bet if it’s unlikely you’ll ever be able to actually date them

Just my theory

Suprised to see that Elle Brooke doesn’t have a thread - she’s a sweet girl but her body is… questionable. I get shes trying to get ‘out there’ to maximise her income but she is well aware that her fan base comprises of 14 year old boys and it’s VERY CREEPY to come out to her audience in a thong.

Anyways - sold a pic of my tits (face not visible) to a guy on tinder. Ladies, capitalise on your matches. Cost of living increasing and that.

That'

That's pretty harsh, work shouldn't be able to control your whole life. I mean you work there at set hours, after that your time should be your own, i hate this culture of how organisations seem to want to own their employees. Maybe if they paid people better they wouldn't need to be looking for easy lucrative side hussles??
I have to disagree here, companies are allowed to expect a level of morality in their employees if they so wish and then the person doesn’t have to be in a job if they feel those standards are too excessive for them. I know there’s a morality clause in my contract, I can’t go around doing anything that might hurt the reputation of the company paying my salary and I’m ok with that. If I wasn’t I wouldn’t have signed the thing. In my opinion OnlyFans is as close to legal prostitution as you can get. Even if you aren’t selling sexually explicit content, most of them are selling parts of themselves for money. When it boils down to it, OnlyFans content creators are there to try and get rich without having to work very hard at it. I also cringe when they roll out the “empowering” phrase to justify why they do it, particularly women as they are not empowered they are still at the behest of primarily men to pay them for pics/videos engaged in various activities in order to make money. To me they are desperate for money and/or notoriety. As is a common phrase where I live “there’s a wee want in them” as there must be a basic need not being met in their lives to resort to OnlyFans. Since when is doing an every day job and living a private life not enough for people any more. People have to be rich first and then the happiness will come, when we know that’s far from the truth. If I look at the list of z listers mentioned on her, none of them would I claim are emotionally stable people. They’re rather people who got a taste of the good life and are desperate to maintain it by any men’s necessary. It’s tragic.

Agreed. That's my main thought on it as well. How have people gone back to being willing to pay for porn when it's just not remotely neccessary these days?
I fully agree.
I think it's the delusion these men probably have of "being closer to X (than others)".
Haven't been on OF (and won't be), but I suspect the platform is small compared to other platforms (IG, Twitter etc) and creates for these sad sacks a false sense of closeness.

And I hate how so many things are sold as "power" only for people to support questionable things.
There's no "power" in being in sex trade. Let's not kid ourselves.

There's a lot of articles that examined the stats, and like MLMs, the vast majority of the girls are making feck all. There's a huge difference between gathering free followers on Insta, and getting paid to be 'pretty'.

One of the pieces I read was from a former porn producer who used to promote girls back in the 80s and 90s. He said the only way to grow and maintain the audience, i.e. subscription, to a girl's site was to keep escalating the content in terms nudity and then sex acts. Otherwise there's no reason for the audience to continue subscribing - you have to keep them hooked with a little more each month. In his opinion, same principle applied to OnlyFans.

Downside to that 'business model' is that it gives each girl only a limited shelf-life, as you inevitably hit the point where there's nowhere (legally) left to go, audience interest is lost, and then numbers and income starts dropping off. Plus there's always a new face, and competition is fierce.

Maybe if you're lucky, or already famous, you'll make some decent coin at it, but the vast majority won't, and as has already been pointed out, those pics of you and the prize cucumber will be floating around the internet forever more.

From where I'm sitting, OnlyFans makes sense as a career choice if you think you're going to be 20yo forever, otherwise it's a terrible decision.

It's wild to me how many Twitch streamers (or people within that field in general) seem to have an only fans

The lot of you are followed by literal children, what are you doing????????

I know that there's the argument that it's content you need to pay for, but leaks don't seem to be that hard to find anyway
Twitch thots have been doing this for years, it usually goes as follows..

1. Become twitch titty streamer.
2. Build up a fanbase of simp paypigs.
3. Get a warning off twitch for sexualising your content.
4. Announce you will start up an onlyfans because twitch won’t let you act like a tart.
5. Plug it for a few weeks.
6. Start the onlyfans.
7. Only post lewds at first, charging £100 to see nipple.
8. 1 year later they are taking baseball bat sized dildos up the ass for £15 a month.

Generally they are pretty lazy people who don’t want to work, are really bad at streaming/video games etc therefore can’t earn good money as a youtuber/twitch streamer.. so just resort to virtually selling their body for money.

I don’t know who’s worse, the girls drinking cum cocktails for a dono, or the simps who pay for and enable it.

It’s the modern day equivalent of the old sex telephone lines, but with the added fun of always having your “youthful” indiscretions out there on the internet for everyone (including family, future employers, neighbours, that bitch you don’t get along with at the school gates) to Google for the rest of time.

People are making a lot of noise about the girl power aspect but I don’t think people (women) are making that much cash unless they already have some celebrity first - even then you can’t stop everything getting recorded by the punter and shared online without the “content creator” getting paid (like Kerry Katona) It will probably end up the same way as free porn, a few fellas will be making money out of their ever revolving cast.

Main upside: at least it’s physically safer to the degree that the girls don’t have to stroll along an abandoned industrial estate looking for “work”, I guess.

Well said. If we're honest, they like it because most of them are earning more than they'd get via a job with a contract. But that also means they could have saved most of their income and hence have enough money to fund them while they look for alternative work.

I see lots of influencers who seem to earn a lot, but also spend a lot. I'd be saving everything I could. But I suppose they feel they have to have all the flashy material possessions to fit in.
These platforms are nothing more than a pimping service, the streetwalker equivalents at the bottom won't make anything. It's shocking that so many people think this is empowering women

There is a woman in her 30s who lives locally to me, she has been doing OnlyFans for a couple of years now. She has gone further and further and further with what she does. She went from doing soft, glamour type stuff to now doing anal videos and meet ups with other “content craters” to do lesbian content and the other day one of them took her strap-on virginity. She is posting full on, legs open nudes with bolt on fake boobs on display on her Twitter to lure the sad sods to her OF. Listen no judgment from me, but bear in mind she has a son who is about 12 and a daughter of about 5. It’s harrowing to imagine their classmates finding this stuff and showing them. Would you ever get over that? I doubt it. These women don’t seem to care about the consequences of all this on their loved ones.

The worst example I’ve heard of as far as webcamming is concerned, was a young woman who did a 1-2-1 with a punter who had a plastic bag fetish and he talked her into putting a plastic bag over her head :( She suffocated and he watched her die over webcam without calling her an ambulance. The police wanted to do him for manslaughter but he topped himself before they could.

Read about that case here:

So I would just say to anyone who chooses to take this path, you need to make your boundaries crystal clear and don’t ever feel that you “have“ to do something.

Not keen on it at all. Don’t like the idea that my daughters could make an only fans account on their 18th birthday and there would be fuck all I could do about aside from talking to them about how monumentally stupid it is to share naughty pics of yourself with strangers online money or no money.

Loads of pics get screen shot and passed around social media for free as well. These pics will never go away once they’re out there. The whole thing just doesn’t sit right with me personally.
