I am willing to discuss what a monster Liam comes across as in Maya’s book. I’m assuming the majority of it is based on her lived experience. Basically everything with that relationship was messed up. And Liam deciding to join Louis and be seen at his shows just as the book is being released screams I’m hiding something and trying to get positive PR

I don’t think that’s the reason because he seems to hate the whole topic, understandably. I wonder what would have to happen for people to believe him, It must’ve taken a massive toll on him. Harry on the other hand is never asked about that and it doesn’t seem to affect him and his life as much as it affects Louis.

Larries make up a tiny portion of Harry’s fanbase nowadays and he has enough other things going on that interviews won’t spend the time they have with him asking about it. But he did say in his last Rolling Stone interview that it’s hard having to go on a second date with someone and having to explain there’s a corner of the internet who will say anything and it’s not real/true. I think it affects him too but he doesn’t have a child to protect in this scenario

Sadly I am 18 years into living the rest of my life without my younger brother and it’s something that haunts me. Every achievement or event you think ‘he should be here’ or ‘what would he have grown up to be.’

I just hope people respect the family and remember that whilst it feels like a hard loss to them as a fan, it’s nothing compared to what they’re feeling and have lost.

I think it's very mature of him. It could be for the sake of headlines but I could see him genuinely wanting to make peace with that part of his life and the way he behaved after leaving

Totally agree. I also enjoy some of his music, his lyrics and his recording vocal. Live he is terrible! No stage presence and he doesn’t let go (as you said). I manage talent, and there are so many notes I want to give him and tips! He could be so much better! His management must be really poor. His stage presence and ability to let go were a lot better in early One D, nowhere near as strong as Harry, but better than now. Something is blocked in him; he’s not being his authentic self.

I agree that there’s a very real block. He has worked with a vocal coach and he has improved but not as much as I would have expected. It’s like he doesn’t believe in himself. From 1D live recordings, he was reserved on stage then as well. He moves constantly in interviews but on stage he represses that unless he’s running around being silly. I wish he’d stop sticking his fingers up. He’s quite considered and gentle when he’s engaged in interviews but hides behind this awful ‘lad’ persona which doesn’t do him any favours.

I think his team have probably worked very hard behind the scenes, but when the industry isn’t receptive, their hands are tied.

I think good on him for taking the opportunities afforded to him. Madonna has always been pretty dreadful live vocally and look at her career.
