I lost my best friend when I was younger and if I had to do a concert a couple months after and people were showing up wearing t shirt's with her photo on I'd be so upset and angry. You don't need constant reminders when you are grieving, it's bad enough all the sleepless nights and the heavy sadness you have to carry with you long after they've gone. I listened to diary of a CEO with Liam ages ago and he said he invested heavily in property after 1D. So I assume he'd of had a good income stream from rentals/ property inflation? It'll all come out soon enough though as it becomes public information once someone dies

They were worked to the bone. No wonder they took a break and never went back to the band. I also think that they had it incredibly tough as they were the big act during the huge rise of social media. The invasion of their privacy by fans and the demand put on them was insane. I know it set them up for life but they had a tough time. I often think about how batshit crazy people were around the whole Larry thing. That ruined Louis’ and Harry’s friendship. The way fans would harass their girlfriend or anyone around them. Not for all the money in the world.

I think Liam in particular found the comedown from that height of fame hard to adjust to. You could tell that he thought he’d be the huge name out of the band, but I just don’t think he worked for the solo career hard enough. Harry worked. Niall worked. I really didn’t think Niall would have the career that he has now considering he hardly sang in the band. I saw him live a few months ago and you could just tell that he really put in the work to become a better singer and is passionate about his own music. Looking back, Liam really was lost from the end of the band onwards. A sad end.

At the time I was devastated as I was still fairly young and didn’t fully understand the impact of the constant touring etc, but looking back now I can’t believe how badly they were treated. Worked into the ground to the point where some had to turn to drink at just 19/20

My fyp is full of Liam annoying 1D and it was so painfully obvious how did I not notice this before I never warmed to him like the others as I always thought he was a bit cringe, but harmless, but now I just see him in a whole different light

Honestly, if I were the 1D boys, I’d be very cautious in having any association with Liam right now.

Maybe that’s why even Louis hasn’t publicly mentioned Liam since March, when he promoted Liam’s single. No photos with Liam or thanking Liam for supporting his concerts even though Liam basically acted like a stan and followed Louis on his tour in the summer.

Louis and Liam need a reunion

Correction: Louis and Liam needs a reunion.

I know many people shit on Louis on here, but he actually has a solid solo career going on on and is doing just fine. He’s just finished a tour, will be playing in festivals next, and has been hosting his own music festival for the past few years. He’s also got two albums out, and while they aren’t commercial top charters, they are reflective of who he is as an artist, and the kind of music he wants to make. He’s successful in his own way.

Which is a lot more than what Liam has done for his career.

Exactly. You wouldn’t be expected as staff to deal with this sort of situation… Perez was saying they should’ve just called the police but probably didn’t because he was a celebrity. But also, by the 911 call it seems like the situation escalated really quickly and they did call for an ambulance before it happened so they tried to help

It definitely seems to have been a situation which spiralled extremely quickly. The images of him on his laptop in the lobby were taken I think 35-40 minutes before he died? I can imagine the hotel staff thinking he was a danger to himself but at no point thinking it would end with him falling or jumping off the balcony. They must be traumatised.

I expected this at some point but just not so soon which I think is why I’m shocked. I’m sure it was discussed on one of these threads once that we could see it ending this way but I can’t find where. I remember at the time Matthew Perry passed that I could see Liam’s fate being the same.

Greg is the problem not Niall, and obviously Niall couldn’t see Theo because Theo lives full time with his mother now, and Niall isn’t close with her, but Theo was at nialls dublin show so they are still in contact. Greg is always going on live giving out about Niall etc it’s clear he’s unwell and needs help though. Also did anyone see apparently Liam is going to nialls show in Argentina (I don’t think Niall knows this himself as I don’t think he’d want to be associated with Liam), video is attached, I mean it’s clear Niall doesn’t have any contact with Liam so I don’t know why Liams acting like he does.

Both look to be into each other and I don’t know what they identify as privately, but I’d be very surprised if Louis was straight and Harry is openly unlabelled aka not straight! The rumours didn’t come from nowhere; they were incredibly flirty and touchy feely with each other, and there were a lot of innuendos. In my opinion something has gone on between Harry and Nick Grimshaw and Harry and Louis … in both cases he’s had a flirty chemistry that seems very genuine.

I agree! I’m not a Larrie and when I first looked at video “proofs” I was sceptical but after watching a couple of videos there was clearly something going on. Maybe even just a flirty mutual attraction. I know a lot can be debunked however the two videos for me is that sly arm touch video where Louis looks like he is about to pop a boner any minute and the video where Louis angrily grabs liams hand randomly in the middle of the interview whilst Zayn and Harry look very awkward.

I am not gay or a touchy feely person at all so maybe it’s just me BUT if one of my friends started slyly rubbing my arm with one finger during a work meeting I would be like wtaf are you doing…

I don’t think there is anything going on now! But I do agree with you that I don’t think Louis is straight and I believe his laddy lad persona is definitely a cover for his insecurities. I say this because my brother is exactly like Louis ( prob why I have a soft spot for him) he is loud, drinks too much, is a lads lad etc etc. however he let it slip a while ago ( when drunk) that he enjoys sleeping with men but is adamant he’s not gay or bi…he has only ever had girlfriends too!
