I was saying to the young ones (colleagues) the other day you could have gone to see Noel or Liam over the years and while they sung their not Oasis stuff they also sang Oasis stuff. Not quite the same experience admittedly but not far off and for a fraction of the cost/stress.

I saw Noel at a festival last year and said to a few a people after that I would like to see Liam at some point but guess that ships sailed now
I've also seen Richard Ashcroft and know he has supported Liam before so will be even more annoyed at not getting tickets if he supports Oasis , I'm pretty doubtful he will though

Anyone got any good guesses on who they think the support act will be?

Hype upon hype over the past week, with the nation getting driven to hysteria to get tickets.

Then when the site is hugely oversubscribed people are amazed that they didn't get the tickets they wanted.

Up come Liam and Noel saying that touted over priced tickets will be cancelled ...... would like to know how they are going to identify these tickets.

The whole lot should have been balloted with 2 tickets per 'winning' balloter, with the lead name on the ticket who must show identification on the gate. Everybody attending big sporting events during the latter stages of covid had to show they had been vaccinated before entry so it wouldn't be such an undertaking.

Time after time people go into a frenzy over hyped concerts, hours spent gazing at a screen, only to find that when they get to the front of the queue they are unable to secure a ticket.

Well the paps are saying the Gallagher brothers will be kept apart during the shows apart from on stage, so it’s even more clear to see it’s just on Noel’s terms to make back the divorce money he lost. Which makes yesterday’s shambles even funnier, all the money folk will pay to see an over rated band with 0 chemistry! And to be fair I don’t mind a few of their songs, but by god i listened to Definitely maybe the other day & it’s vastly overrated! The 2nd album is better but Wonderwall & Dont look back in anger are way overplayed now I always turn them off.

Yeah I agree , people blame ticket master etc but the fact is there are going to be loads of us disappointed, all those people saying they were at the front or whatever chances are if the site appeared to have ran smoothly they would have still been the ones without tickets
I don't blame anyone it's just bad luck I missed out. The only thing ticket master can be blamed for is randomly putting prices up half way through the sale

This is why I'm not that fussed about not going.

I said this on another thread but about 5/6 years ago I was all set to go see Bros on a comeback tour only to get an email the morning before announcing the concert was cancelled (no explanation).

They were identical twins but their clashes had been reported on for years so it was kinda obvious what happened.

Twelve months is a long time for the Gallagher lads to remain even remotely civil. Time will tell.

Edit: my impression is they at heart love each other but maybe Liam never grew out of his baby brother role which in turn would wind Noel up. I hope for their elderly mother's sake they see it through but I won't hold my breath either.

I do love blur and I’ve seen them a few times, I think maybe oasis’ music has just aged abit better?

See I'm the opposite, I was Team Oasis in the 90s but if I had to choose now I'd opt for Blur!

Yes but not till the actual ticket appears in your Ticketmaster account. Probably a week or so before the gig. I did it with my Foo Fighters tickets.

Yeah we had a presale code via the ballot and 100% appreciate how fortunate we were, as yesterday sounded like a complete shitshow, and I would’ve lost patience within half an hour.

As it was, we joined the presale waiting room at 18:30, it opened at 19:00 and we had them bought by 19:25.

I bought them on gigs and tours so not sure if it's the same with transfers?

I've done the same after seeing it on an Instagram comment thought there might have been some on there already with the "in demand" prices of people who panic bought then changed their mind , I wouldn't pay that myself though
