Yes agree I'm not counting the food shopping! And I'm less focusing on the 2 week thing and just taking it day by day.

I'm trying to stop the ... "oh I'll just have a £4.50 coffee" and "I'll just nip in to Boots as I need a clear nail polish" and then you've spent £30 type of spending.

One of my worst things is rushing out for an appointment without eating breakfast or lunch first, and then being so ravenous I end up buying a sandwich or a Greggs sausage roll etc. And I never just buy one.. I buy 4 to take some home etc. It all adds up! So I'm trying to be really organised and take water, snacks with me everywhere, plus make sure I eat first before I go anywhere.

Also shopping within my own wardrobe or bathroom. I have enough clothes, makeup, skincare to last me a long time! I properly sorted out my knicker drawer the other day and realised I have an embarassing amount of knickers. Probably 30+ pairs. It's silly. And just the other day (before I did the tidy up) I was browsing the M&S website and considering getting more! It's a mental illness I swear....
No, just busy with life.
I love Marie Kondo but it’s not for everyone. A key thing she does is the “categories” you put everything of one type all in one place and go through it. For example - knickers! Or underwear. Chuck it all on the bed and see how much of it you own, is it all still decent, get rid of any that’s broken/damaged and wear the stuff you forgot you owned!
it takes time, most people just don’t have enough.

Just spent £12 on Shein that’s on the credit card 😡

Ooh can I ask what you get from lush? My husband has eczema that isn't doing great at the mo!

Angels on bare skin cleanser I use daily. Loads better for my skin than cerave sensitive ones I used previously
Sleepy cleanser which I use a few times a week before bed. This one is very moisturising

My OH loves the scrubees, they’re super moisturising too

I gmy brother who gets eczema on his scalp and face

I am sitting on my hands. I might go out to return some stuff, and do a top up shop at the same time (using the cash I forgot last time) then I have an Asda delivery on weds (I skipped this week as I have enough).

The only thing I have to splurge on is a birthday gift I hadn't saved for. I don’t yet even have any ideas for it.

What I need to do is get back on track, place is a mess and I’m snacking, not cooking! I like the suggestion of shopping browsing only on set days of the week.

This is useful! I didn’t hear of jamdoughnut before.

I have been buying an Asda gift card via topgiftcard within topcashback, it gives 2 or 3% (it’s 3 today). So a £40 shop gets me about a pound in my tcb.

I also use Quidco but TCB is better usually.

If you are new to TCB and use my code to sign up I might get a bonus.

Pre-empting by saying I'm posting this in a few threads to try and get an answer from the right people

Anybody living around London /the M25. I have a question.
We are flying from Heathrow this wkend and BA just informed us that the M25 is shut between J10&11.
Does anybody know how badly this affects traffic? Do we allow an extra hour? Or two?

Slippery baths are the worst, even without additional balance/support issues.
Can confirm the chair looks the dog’s doodah and is v stable, also seems quite wide, which might be a consideration in some spaces. Great, unless you benefit from a higher back (Thing2 uses a stool when away from home, so is fine). What a great thing for IKEA to design.
Since I discovered, when replacing the grippy feet, that traditional shower chairs are merrily rusting away inside the legs, I’ve replaced ours annually anyway, so have just brought that cost forward a couple of months, and probably reduced it a bit, at £29.
Will probably prop it against a wall anyway tbh

Ordered £50 shopping.
This is the problem I have, and it’s fairly unique to being house/bed bound.

I need a thing I can only find in Tesco. I can’t make it out to Tesco nor do I have anyone willing to go to big Tesco to pick up. I’m not willing to wait a week or two.

I’m not well enough to do without/cook something else. So in order to meet the minimum delivery I need to spend £50 which I can do, hence why I’m always well stocked, you always need spare loo roll etc.
so £50 on the credit card,I’m spending next months money. But this is the cheapest way to get soup!
What is the item can you get it on a smaller whoosh order ?

Love this whole list, thank you. Could I add a T to HALTT? Tipsy. Things seem like such a rational, great, justifiable buy on an evening sofa scroll with a glass of wine.
I just used the regular DBT approach but modifying it for spending is a much better idea, thank you! If we make a list of triggers we could create another acronym especially for this.

I will return the items next week, and whilst I’m out I will pick up a few fresh-bits and some bread for the freezer. I’ll skip getting a shopping delivery until the week after as I’m well stocked.

Christ I spent £40 on an air purifier. I don’t know why I’m so very allergic to my cat, antihistamines were great for a few weeks now they’re not helping. Technically this is a medical need…
£130 + the £9 in change remaining. Tesco delivery here soon, that’s £54 so that leaves £76

I broke this morning and am conflicted!
I need a new good quality winter coat but I was going to make do until the two weeks were over. However I got an email this morning to say an extra 10% off sale coats and they had one in my size so bought it 😬
Now all my hard work this week has been undone.
