I'd guess that his quieter nature and being quite dry and self-deprecating (while probably being very aware of the ridiculousness of the whole Strictly experience) has been misconstrued by some people as him being mardy.

I'm sure he couldn't care less and probably isn't even aware of the stories.

If people want a performing monkey with nothing except air and wee sweetie mice in between their ears, they have Bobby.

It's just such a none story that keeps being re hashed 'Nigel takes things very seriously and gets upset if anything goes wrong'

He actually admitted on TV that he was so mad at himself for going wrong in Blackpool (not mad at others of course) he felt he had let the side down, he did take it all seriously and i do think he would want produce a perfect routine but the way that those things have been twisted into negatives is just plan stupid (its not like he attacked anyone, or belittled people etc) his biggest crime was expecting to much of himself and wanting perfection..... So 🤷

I think those who work on the SCD and go running off to journalists selling stories are the real problem, there has certainly been a lot of them chatting tit about the contestants this year id be more concerned about that tbh

I know, it's just annoying. You're right the people in SCD blabbing are to blame. I also I am a perfectionist too, and can have the ump with myself. It's like I have Gordon Ramsay in my head with a death metal band playing behind him.

Yeah it's so daft, he's been welcomed back for ITT two tomorrow and he's there for the final hopefully dancing aswell so there's no bad blood on either side (big contrast to Amanda who won't be there because there really were issues)

Got me gin in a tin 😂 so no bad vibes from me, I've loved this series !

Thrilled to see Nigel looking so happy and handsome tonight who knows what could of been but what he did give us was AMAZING so that's what I'll be celebrating, what a treat we had seeing him dance every week for nearly 3 months, Love ya Nige you did the fans proud, and keep dancing !!!

Him and Adam were lile naughty school boys, loved it.

I didn't watch strictly the last few weeks and went straight to the group dance purely to see Nigel on iplayer. I couldn't give less of a tit about who danced what and who won 🤣.

I love that their friendship its so genuine, I love that they get to hang out together whenever they want, but I'm heartbroken we'll never get to see them dance ever again on a Saturday night, it was so special 💔
