I cold water swim and believe me it has taken me a long time to be comfortable when hitting the water and that's in a controlled situation through choice.

The shock and panic when it isn't expected will reduce your chances...and the cold will impact your choices...you won't think logically and if a current won't be able to possibly reach to your wellies....

This is one of the options here...falling in...

But without a trace....and her phone not on her but left on the bench...

What about forensics on the scene should she have been murdered or abducted? Because that leaves a hell of a lot more traces than falling into water.

So from the DM they say the witness saw her at about 9.10 and they are trying to establish exactly what time it was.

Lord that takes me back, I did life saving classes and had to go in with my nightie on over my swimming costume and as I went to take my nightie off (as we were meant to, making it into a float) I forgot to undo the button at the back by my neck and got it stuck over my head. So there I am panicking I’m going to drown, treading water like mad, trying not to go under. Eventually after what seemed hours but was probably not even a minute, I got to the steps still with my nightie still over my head and when I said I was drowning and no one helped, they told me they thought I was pretending to drown for someone practising.
That would have made a great headline ‘child dies at life saving class by drowning’

No I just think the whole situation is strange and considering that Willow was found in a agitated state IMO she knew that something might have happened to Nicola or most likely she became agitated as she couldn't find her.

How do you know that?

I don't know that I think it is more likely that Nicola was looking for Willow fell into the river and very sadly drowned.

Several people saw her on the walk.....

They have spoken to witnesses and none of them can confirm it was her and some are completely denying seeing her at all.

Hasn't he also said that he doesn't believe the dog would have been running around if she had fallen into the water and that Willow would have sat at the side of the river.

I would have thought that the dog would have entered the water too if Ms Bulley had been in the water, seems from photos we’ve seen that it was used to swimming!
surely it would have jumped in after her.
The dog being found dry seems to disprove this.
I had started to believe that she had fallen into the water but when I think of the dog not going in after her it makes me wonder if something else has happened to her.

Ah, I like your thinking! Hopes for a murder murder mystery are kept alive with a tease that the partner was in debt and this might have led to foul play! Let's see: The debt on wind-up, allowing for the capital asset on the books, looks like under 5k. Dunno what the asset is, but if it's secured against their house then that could feasibly mean trouble. If that were the case, though, you'd expect some kind of arrangement to come prior to a compulsory company strike off? Business failure is often accompanied by other debts, though, and it's quite easy (sadly) for people to get into six figures in a situation where their private finances suffer because of a business failure since they can have both residual debts and a loss of income. Mortgage borrowing, assuming an interest only mortgage, would require an insurance policy equal to the gap between their equity in the house and its actual value - they'd normally split that between the two. Imagine the house is worth £500k and they have two insurance policies for £250k each. They're in their mid-40s so maybe they've paid off the majority and also there's been an increase in value over that time; maybe there's there's £300k equity? Maybe the business failure on wind up gives a debt of over £50k (if any major asset's secured against the house); that's normally gonna require a re-mortgage and therefore a reduction in equity in the house to under £250k? But then there's other debts accrued owing to the lack of income and maybe credit card debt over time. Say £150k with little present income? Now you only have 30% equity in your house and you're in your mid-40s without much income. You're likely going to lose the house. Solution? Build, with considerable cunning a modest underground lair in Wales using your engineering knowledge, then stock up on supplies so you can keep your head down after the fuss dies down after the murder. All of this would require a clear headed analysis of the mortgage situation and extensive engineering nous. And, wait, she works/ed as a mortgage adviser and he is an engineer! You could be on to something......

Plus at the start it said someone found Willow and called the school who called N’s partner to say the dog had been found.

Now the woman who found the dog called her daughter in law, who knew it was N’s dog so called the partner.

That’s two very different versions

The DM says at 10.50 her family and the childrens school were told about her disappearance

I just don’t get why a spaniel wouldn’t go in the water if it’s owner fell in.
