It's a normal thing for locals to ignore the no dogs off leads signs. It only comes unstuck when farmers do shoot a dog, which they are entitled to do so. A sheep can miscarry or have their lamb mauled. Little softy can do terrible harm.

Okay here I go again with my ramblings.
Am thinking about the husband of the woman who found Willow, phone etc and tied her up.
He categorically did not like dogs not on a leash because of his chickens.
So what if he encountered Nicola first, with Willow running free and hurt her, (don't forget he threatened to shoot unleashed dogs, though I doubt he shot Nicola because someone would have heard.)
So he panics and calls his wife who comes with string for dog and they carry her back to caravan site between them. Wife may never have been at bench at said time because Willow would have been tied up before and the phone left at same time.
Does that make any sense?
It’s actually not that rambling. He has guns, probably shoots at crows, grey squirrels and runs a clay pigeon shoot. There is a son there too in the campsite. I don’t think he’d deliberately shoot Nicola except some kind of misadventure? She’s just beyond his hedge at certain points. Accidents happen as we’ve continually said.
It’s a leap for me though that they take phone/ harness and dog to bench and stage a disappearance. They have half an hour tops to do it. The owner says she finds phone and tethers dog and has to hurry to an appointment then more than an hour and twenty minutes later Nicolas absence is reported.
Then they’d have to dispose of a body.
It’s actually all possible but probable in my opinion is something else.
If the owner is the 9.10 witness it is a bit stranger.

Quite a few people suspicious of the caravan lady and her string.

Has it now been decided that carrying random string in the morning is a Bad Thing and that anyone who does so is a bit odd?
This made me chuckle.

I wasn't suspicious of the caravan lady and her string but just seen the post and it is theory i guess and not impossible because the water theory isn't working out too well.

I really hope she is found because i cannot imagine the family not having answers (whatever they may be)

This is a really interesting theory.

Dog off lead running around, he comes out irate - NB puts phone down and they argue/tustle (believe you me, if someone irate came at me gobbing off about my well-behaved dog being off lead with no-one around they would get both barrels from me) 🤷‍♀️
Thank you. Glad you can see where I am coming from 😊

No I mean the dogs only on the edge drinking, but couldn't get back up the bank, my dog only puts her mouth in the river when drinking she doesn't go into the water, Willows front 2 paws could of been wet so she couldn't grip to get up, there's many a time I've had to help my dog get up banks.
Are you sure your dog drinks from rivers? It’s salty water?

someone on the other thread actually pondered Nicola having a piss and falling in the river, I mean seriously? You’d go in the trees, it was really windy that day. Only a man can stand by a river and pee, us women dare not.

I agree with you, anyone from a rural area or who knows farmers has heard those threats to shoot a dog before. Not justifying it in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM but those animals are their livelihoods and they can’t run the risk of a dog harming them. I have never heard of a dog being actually shot either, I think it’s mostly just a scare tactic although I’m sure it does sadly happen.
It absolutely happens. I live rurally and I've known of it multiple times. There was a place we regularly walked our dogs and one day a farmer (very aggressively I will add) accosted us and said to keep the dogs on the lead at all times (we always did around livestock anyway) because a dog had recently got loose and killed his entire flock but not to worry it's dead now and he knows it wasn't us. Like I was supposed to be bleeping grateful he didn't shoot my dogs who had done nothing. We've never been back since. Not taking the risk.

I get it, like you say it is their livelihood, but they can also be extremely trigger happy and restless to shoot if a dog is even within the vicinity doing nothing. Obviously that wasn't this situation but the threat isn't just words. Farmers don't piss about.

I was referring to original posters thoughts. You need to read the original quote

I was just replying to say that the river is genuine investigation as it would be too costly to be using the river theory just to cover for something else they might now. NOT that the river is cover up.
Thank you for clarifying that. Forgive me if I came off rude, my mental health is not good at all atm, my anxiety is extremely high 😥 bad time of year for me.

*Literally this thread*
'was the dog wet when it was found?'
'No it was dry'

'if the dog was wet when the lady found it..'
'it was dry'

'So was the dog wet or dry?'
'IT WAS DRY!!'😤🤪
Was the dog wet before it got dry though? 😂

Just fallen on some live on tiktok where the guy is doing some videos and investigating around the renovating house etc. And he got the guy who's family owns the house trying to knock his phone off him on live telling him to get off the property, 12k people watching it. Everybody's saying "ask him where she is" 🙄don't think anybody would want some random guy and his mates videoing my house from all angles every day and at night

I wonder if search dogs lost NB’s scent near to the river edge, which wouldn’t be 100% proof she went in but could be another reason they think she could well have done.

I saw that bleeping idiot earlier, just wandering around in the dark with a torch talking to his live stream! It’s disgusting clout chasing off of a missing woman

Thanks for considering my theory.
Was it ever proved that the caravan lady actually had an appointment?
Am on my phone, it's midnight and I can’t see very well 😃

Rivers are freshwater, not salty like the sea 👍

Yeah. i think theres something fishy about that.. just doesn’t make sense
Maybe she was at work / lives a distance away / at the doctors / had to get someone to look after her child / any number of things that the police have probably asked already

I don’t think the key to this is with the poor caravan park people who actually found Willow and the phone and alerted Nicola’s partner to the problem.
