I do think there isn’t enough discussion (in general I mean, not on tattle) about the fact her last actual sighting was in the top field.

Just because her phone and Willow were by the bench and river, does not mean Nicola was.

I can’t imagine what they’re going through.

I keep thinking, if I went missing tomorrow the assumption would be suicide because of my MH. Although it’s controlled with meds, therapy, psychiatric input, it’s no secret that I’ve had and have dark times where it’s all too much.
So if I disappeared like this, I bet they’d say ‘oh she couldn’t keep going any longer, she’s in the water, we’ll have to hope for a body to surface’

But actually if I disappeared tomorrow it wouldn’t be suicide. Because I’m okay at the moment and I know I wouldn’t.

This makes me wonder if there are things that we don’t know (I mean, of course there are) such as MH or things at home or work or whatever, that might make the police lean towards her being in the water - whether accidental or not - but mean the family are desperate to push for the focus to be elsewhere.

I feel the people that have been on this thread all week have settled down and seem to on the whole now understand each other…
then bang someone new joins and round and round we go again😂😂
I decided this morning that I was going to be really kind to anyone new with questions and try and catch them up.

What a fucking stupid idea that was.

I have RBF. Every where I walk I look like I’m in a foul mood. But I’m very happy with my husband. Just because she hasn’t got a shit eating grin on her face doesn’t mean she was unhappy ffs. Plus dropping kids off, dog to walk etc, her mind was on other things. I sadly think she’s gone into the water, I’m veering more towards a trip right into water or a faint as there was no marks on the bank. It’s sad and I feel for her family. I hope they get something soon. No closure is awful
Yes and imagine if Nicola WAS smiling in the CCTV, some would say it was because she was so happy as she was about to leave and start a new life! 🙄

I wish I had a pound for every time I’ve said “ffs” out loud when I’m reading this thread! 😆

Hi, so I've read so far that Peter guy is now finishing his search and concludes that Nicola is not in the river. He has stated that police and other teams will continue to search down river towards the bay. But he's adiment she would've never made it to the bay.

All this is so unsettling for me who is a total stranger to Nicola so cannot imagine how her family are feeling right now.

All I keep seeing is speculation and theories all over sm. I'm praying she's found soon so the family can at least have some closure.

My mental health atm is shocking, it's not a good time of year for me due to events happening in my own life at this time of year when I was a child, and this has also added to it. I don't know why though. People keep talking about abduction and it's really freaking me out. I hope she wasn't abducted, can you imagine her fear?

I haven't slept well at passed few nights since I started following this case. It's just so mysterious.

Her partner looks really worn out and frustrated bless him. People stating he doesn't look worried. He looks frustrated and confused and possibly doesn't want to think about his partner being deceased.

I keep checking the news every other hour for an update. If she's not found, then god knows what's happened to her.

Came to have a quick look at the thread and thought I'd stumbled onto "Take a Break" magazine instead. 😂

What about aliens? Maybe it was aliens.

Genuine question and I really don’t mean to come across as insensitive as I think it’s really awful, but why has this case gained so much media attraction when so many adults are reported missing everyday?

Peter wouldn't have had any criticism if he had just done his job and assisted the police. There was no reason for him to speak publicly and give his opinions, he should have went in and got on with the task. He has exploited the family and Nicola for his own gain and from the start made this situation personal. I've no sympathy for him.

In a nutshell:

1. It's a complete mystery
2. She's a probably fairly affluent, probably now considered middle class, attractive working mum
3. She's white

There's a guy who has gone missing in London. Nathan Cole. Missing for over two weeks now. It's had some national coverage but imagine being his family and just desperately trying to get traction on his disappearance with all this going on?

Personally, I think this may be a suicide but it could be a murder. The phone pinging by a disused IKEA building 🤔

If it IS Nicola on the CCTV then she looks unhappy and that would add up to arguments with Paul at home etc etc....
I have a face like a slapped arse half the time walking around. I’m actually very happy. I’d just feel like a twat walking around with a smile plastered on my face when I’m walking to the car or nipping to Tesco for some milk. Cctv would certainly make me look unhappy but I haven’t argued with my partner for months.

Couldn’t agree more, I said exactly this earlier in the thread! I probably wouldn’t have a clue what to do. I am a natural worrier and may well come up with a worst case scenario but would also think that I was being ridiculous and that someone was taking a wee nearby and would be back soon. Do you take the dog? Call someone? Call the police? I can completely see why tying the dog up and beetling off to an appointment seems like a natural semi-sensible compromise solution.
And you don’t know how the owner would react if they weren’t far away. I was upstairs in a department store with my mother and daughters and saw a baby crawling on floor towards the escalator. I looked around hoping the parent was nearby but nothing, baby got closer to the escalator so I rushed over and picked him up, only to then have the mother (I assume) snatch him out of my hands and give me the most filthiest look. Looking back I wouldn’t have done anything differently, as I dread to think what could have happened, but it’s worrying as she could have accused me of trying to snatch her baby. It beggars belief she allowed her precious baby to crawl on the floor in the first place with so many dirty and dangerous obstacles and random people .

Fgs sorry but if anyone could see my ring footage of me on the school run I’d probably be bang to rights. Kids fighting over who’s sat in the front, dog escaping because they’ve ran out so quick and left the door open, then one realised they’ve only got one trainer in their PE kit. I’m sure I’m not alone- getting kids to school is a fecking nightmare most mornings it’s not Brady bunch.

The woman who owns the campsite( it’s a long established family concern) has been described as ‘welcoming, eccentric’thru to ‘rude’on trip advisor. She’s described as Penny and looks late middle age.
Reviews seem pretty positive. There is a recurring problem with unleashed dogs however. She and her husband insist that dogs are leashed at all times because he keeps chickens? He states he will ‘shoot them’ if they bother his poultry!
So… a long shot. Did she see Willow running around at about 9.30.. cross the field with string in hand to tether the dog?
She didn’t have much time to spare because of urgent appointment so she left it up to her daughter in law to sort out.

Honestly, what is the mindset of the HUNDREDS of people who have got up one morning and thought ‘I know what’ll help. I’ll take my head torch, my drone & my crystal ball and go and find that missing woman’. People astonish me. On what planet will that help, however she’s disappeared. If she IS in the river, as other posters have said, discovery will be a traumatic event. If she’s been abducted, all this fuss is more likely to hasten her demise. ‘It’s
The drama Mick, I love it’. Empty headed duffers, they should be ashamed.

Agreed!

Plus I don’t think I’ve seen anybody laugh at or dismiss any theories. The posts that have been ignored or had possibly sarcastic replies are ones that have been answered over and over (as the dog wasn’t wet doesn’t that mean N can’t have gone in the water, where was the harness, why did she park at school, why has her partner just quit his company etc etc) and ones where posters expected other posters to act quite literally as a news service because typing their question in here was apparently easier than typing it in google or the tattle search bar.

in my opinion.
There was literally a whole thread where certain posters were trying to police people’s opinions and theories. I didn’t mean any malice by my comment, I just meant after this afternoons news of Peter not believing she’s in the water I wonder if those tattlers are more open to the fact now that other theories may be true 🙄

Have all these people flocking to the scene actually considered how horrific it would be if they did find Nicola? She’s likely been in the water for nearly 2 weeks now. Her body will not be in any kind of condition anyone wants to see when it does surface. That image would stay with you for the rest of your life.

Thank you. I bet the poor woman (who did nothing wrong IMO) is besides herself now.
This is a bit off topic, but I have been thinking about her too.
Here is my rambling story. I lived in Perth for years. I had a half day from work one day, so I packed my bag and went off to Mulaloo beach. I read a book for hours. I had noticed a towel on the beach with a backpack on it. The towel had sand all over it, like it had been there a while. Nobody came back to retrieve it while I was there. I saw nobody out at sea. It felt a bit odd but I kind of brushed it off. I was about to go home and leave it there, but got an attack of conscious or something so I went and took both. I thought I could drop them into the lifeguards, but they weren’t there, so I left the bag and towel up on the wall at the exit to the carpark. That night on the news a man had gone missing from that beach. Turns out he has been swimming and was killed by a shark. I always beat myself up that maybe I could have done something sooner. He was most likely already gone though by the time I arrived. I sat there for hours 😑
