The poor lass has clearly fallen into the river & her body will present itself at some point any day now. It doesn’t matter how she fell in, there are thousands of ways it could have happened exactly, we’ll never truly know.
Well that settles it so! Right come on lads, let’s pack our shit and head off out of here. We call give word to the divers not to bother tomorrow either. Apparently the case is now closed!

This press conference feels more like she’s telling off the online sleuths and the people going to the area, rather than giving an actual update.
Bit like when your mum sits you down to tell you she’s disappointed in your behaviour and you need to behave.

I don't think the family have anything to do with this GFM, it's probably an over-zealous friend who wants to broadcast how great a friend (and therefore a person) they are. You get it all the time on Facebook: Someone will do a good deed and instead of being humble they'll make a post to make sure everyone knows how humble they are.

How has this case managed to get 4 threads already!? This on top of all the pillocks on twitter & TikTok etc turning up to the site she was last seen!? I think we have a real problem here in that this country is obsessed with True crime docs on the telly, so much so everyone thinks everything must be a crime!

You’re also here and contributing so???

Sorry to post again but I just don’t understand why anyone would think in their right mind it was appropriate for a go fund me?! If she is sadly no longer with us then I suspect she would have life insurance, yes it may take a while to pay out but wtf is a gfm going to do in this situation?
As she’s a mortgage advisor by trade I think it’s a safe assumption that she will definitely have life insurance

I am so, so sorry. I can't even begin to imagine what you have gone through x
Thank you. It was truly awful. I guess we were 'lucky' as there was CCTV of my husband entering the water so we knew what had happened. He was classed as a missing person until his body was found. We spoke with experts at the time and were told it can takes weeks/months for a body to resurface

Yes I think someone took her just think it was directly after she was last seen on camera
therefore not on that usual morning routine walk.
No screams heard bit I did see the news shoewing a typical busy morning in traffic jams so hooting etc can drown that out.

But if it is someone she knew she would trust and be calm for a bit and wouldnt have expected to be in the mindset of an apparent attack to happen with a knoen person therefore no screams.

An attacker can use a substance. Theres one they use to somethere and knock someone on conscious.
Take thrm doen a different route and dispose of them someone else.

Meanwhile 'Random stranger' sets up the scene on the bench taking the dog there too.
Had to tie it up because they need to set up there scene maybe.

Randon stranger would have to look exactly one so they dont implicate themselves in the so called "crime scene".
Carry out there tasks but it will onviously look a bit clinical. AND IT DOES.

But looks like she was there with the phone in the meeting etc.. who could know? Who could handle that situation.
Someone who knew her.
Random stranger throws the phone.
You're actually making me dizzy with your chaotic writing. You write fiction you say?

Please, gather yourself and compose the sentences fully which might be more coherent and your theory more credible.

Honestly you're entitled to an opinion but it's quite a difficult read.

She is a similar age to me and I have to say what your hormones start doing to you and some of the dark thoughts you get are really scary. I have never had suicidal tendencies or anything like that but thanks to peri menopause kicking in after Covid I got completely overwhelmed at Liverpool Docks and imagined throwing myself in. Luckily my 3 yr old at the time got my attention and snapped me out of it but it was scary how it came out of nowhere.
Nobody around me would say I had Mental Health issues apart from the usual needing more sleep, more money, more free time etc.
Mental Health struggles can be hidden to the person experiencing them as well as the people around them so they are not always the most reliable witnesses in that sense.

Very unpopular opinion. But if I was godforbid to go missing… I earn £500 a week in my bank nhs job. I would instantly not be being paid, as it’s bank. My husband would not be working, because of the obvious. We would instantly be financially fucked. So if the money is paying for bills and food on the table while they go through this horrendous time I have no issue with that. Missing or not bills need to be paid, and food on the table. She’s a mortgage broker, same as my hubby. No work is no money. Add in possible existing financial issues (which I wish everyone would stop judging them for!)…. Not everyone has savings. We don’t currently. What the family are going through is the worst of the worst. If financial burdens can be eased in this time for the sake of a load of people donating a fiver, why not? If you can’t afford to donate? Don’t.

also. As and when Nicola is found…. Whether drowned, murdered. Whatever you believe… if the money means the husband can spend the next year being with his girls every minute of the day to ease their mental suffering then I’m all for it. And if the money is put Away for the girls one day, it’s a small compensation fortheir mum being taken away that May one day make their life easier which will be bloody well deserved after the suffering they will go through.

And if they use it to pay for private investigations, speciality searches then good for them. If my family member was missing I’d leave absolutely no stone unturned and if I had to beg borrow and steal to do it then too bloody right I would.

You don’t have to donate. Yes some people can’t afford to heat their homes etc like ive seen people saying on twitter, but that will be the case go fund me or no go fund me. It’s not taking away from those people.
Sorry I’ll get off my soap box now…
I don’t disagree with you, I would be totally fucked if I suddenly had no income (as would most people I imagine), but the thing that makes me nervous is the fact it’s a GFM and the fact it’s been set up by a ‘family friend’ for a huge amount of money when there’s no actual outcome yet of what has happened to Nicola.

Maybe if it had been set up by N’s sister, or another close relative, I’d feel more at ease.

Maybe if it was clear what the (massive amount of) money was for (eg to cover x months of Nikki’s usual salary, or to cover x months of mortgage payments) and it was to ensure the children have as stable a life as possible for the next 12 months, no matter what happens.

There’s been so many dodgy GFM over the past few years, it just seems a very random time to do it. They’re desperately trying to focus on Nicola being alive and coming home, but at the same time they’re asking for tens of thousands of pounds to help the family keep going…

(This reply isn’t aimed solely at you. I’m thinking out loud)

No don't have insider info but it could help you lot who have no idea on the area! I will keep my mouth shut and let you all just question yourselves instead of actually giving you an answer, when lots of the times I've read it's been wrong 🤣 it's happened in the area I live in. We would definitely like answers if someone has taken her, we also want to make sure we're safe!
This feels so distasteful. A woman is missing, it’s not a game of catching people out on the internet because “I kNoW sOmEtHinG yOu DonT”. Very weird response, thanks 👍

Yes It would be so much easier if everyone just did their own job
Police job - search for Nicola and updates
Peter F job - look in the water
Everyone else job - STFU

Interesting
‘The family were unaware’
How can fully grown adults not realize that this is a completely inappropriate thing to do without seeking family approval and I would assume police approval first too? I would absolutely blow my top if somebody did that for one of my direct relatives without my permission, well meaning or not. Seriously!

These ‘friends’ need to stop. The one that gave the 11 ‘facts’ to the papers needs to sit down too. It should only be the police releasing the factual information. Not well meaning mates that could be absolutely way off course.

Let’s hope they find her tomorrow. This whole case has me totally spooked for some reason.

It strikes me as odd that the whole area could potentially be a crime scene. Her falling into the water is one theory but there are a stack of other theories that the police have failed to explore. Permitting tiktokers, friends, family, every person who thinks they are a CSI to traipse all over the site contaminates the area and would make finding any other evidence impossible. Was her phone tested for prints? Are there any other footprints? Cigarette ends etc? We will never know because hundreds of people have been traipsing all over it.

This case seems to have been handled appalling from the outside, treated as though it was an accident and she fell in and little else considered.

As for Emma White she needs to sit the fuck down. She was bleating on the radio over the weekend claiming to be an amazing friend and talking about the little girls etc and now here still is as the official spokesperson and fundraiser. She's a ghoul.
