The police obviously needed the equipment from the professional search and rescue team. It was higher spec than the police’s own equipment, so whether it takes 1 or 3 days let’s just hope this gives people a definite answer of whether she is in the river or not

Yes it's been searched along with barns and outbuildings in the area.
I don’t definitely know whether the guy Faulding is the ultimate expert but he was asked to look at the scene by her family? I just feel go with it? If it shows she’s nowhere in river then that opens other questions. He seems reputable from what I can see online.
The field behind the bench leading to the caravan park and holiday lets is not on cctv. There was no working cctv on the perimeter of the holiday park showing any approach?
Surely it begs massive search of this area and background checks.

Yes, like say for example Nicola did enter the water and was able through instinct to free herself from at least the gillet if that was then to get tangled or trapped on underwater debris then that would provide evidence that she has been in the water,
Then the next question would be why was she in the water a which point someone close to Nicola could say she wouldn't of fell she was pushed off the embankment and so it goes on .....
I think it’s more that not finding her body means she’s not in the area they’ve searched. She could absolutely still be in the river. Or, unfortunately, even the sea. (I don’t know if it’s possible for her to have moved that far yet)
With the powerful undercurrents and the variable depth, anything in the river will move down and up stream regularly with the changing tide.
Not finding her, or clothing etc, unfortunately doesn’t mean she isn’t there.
If her body is recovered from the water the coroner will produce a report. I think I'd rather believe she had an accident than an open verdict or anything else that might crop up.
I honestly feel that this woman has ended her own life by choice ,if she slipped into the river why was her fone sitting on bench not in her hand or in her pocket, I think she had this planned unfortunately u don't know what goes on behind closed doors or in a persons head

Of course, I just meant if either Nicola or items attached to her were to be found then the new theory would be did she fall or was she pushed it could potentially never end and of course if as you say if she's not found then it will never end for her loved ones
People don’t tend to set up a play date 30 min before killing themselves.
Doesn’t ring true to me, she would have me left the dog in the car, or at least tied it up. I’m not an expert but people who commit suicide are often very calm and methodical by the time they get to that point. She had children, she would have planned this. I believe a note would have been left, speaking from my own experience with my mother.
It’s possible of course, but to leave her beloved dog loose and at risk? I’m not convinced.
But at least two experts have said there is variable depths( as you rightly point out) but not fast flowing water or treacherous undercurrents? The silt is a problem with the murkiness but the experts are saying she may have been found near to any water entry?
Tragically the body might have been hidden by bushes/ debris but it’s a particularly slow moving body of water? I think that’s why the family need more proof,
I think she most probably saw the dog was about to go into the water and rushed to get her harness on and slipped, couldn't stop herself and landed in the water. I believe that is how the harness ended up near the river bank.
Personally (not that I would, god forbid!) but if I was to commit suicide I’d probably take my phone in with me so that it’s not left for anyone else to look at. They may see that I’m a chatty member on tattle life
