And the way she posts, it’s possible she’s been back in Tuscany for weeks. Yeah, she was never going to spend the summer in Positano. I hope Carlo knows he got played with the whole dividing time equally between Tuscany and Positano thing
They were there for most of the month of June...with the pre recording it is impossible to sort out where she really is. I assume the tourist max numbers in Positano are July and August so they will miss that. Lots of efforts to make it seem like Carlo is really loving Tuscany but not sure I buy it.
I don’t think he does and he has admitted that he still prefers Positano (in the vlog where Nicki just got up when he said that). I think the initial plan, dividing time equally between the places, was a way to get him to go along with the whole thing. But it’s obvious that it isn’t happening. Nicki said herself that before arriving in Positano in June (?) she had only spent two weeks there this year. She’s either in Tuscany or the Uk. No interest at all anymore in the place she loved for, what, 20 years?
yes I think Carlo was there for most of June but as said above NP was there for about 2 weeks doing the glam shots and jetting off with the Goat Family.
Today's video still in Positano. Actually minus the shower scene it was sort of interesting to see a day in the life of a tour boat captain etc. It does look like a lot of work. I did find it interesting at that tourist restaurant they take them to for lunch Nicki and Carlo get a really nice quiet table for 2 with max views and the rest are in long crowded tables with mostly views of fellow tourists. Clearly I would have opted for the 3 hours in Amalfi and find a nice restaurant with my choice of food and views and time to wander around. Most did that .
Yes, I agree it was an interesting and pleasant watch, perfect weather and beautiful scenery. However I did not learn much new about the boat crews' jobs, I've always imagined that they'd do very long seasonal days, having to prepare and stock the boat, cater to and check on their passengers, wash down the boats at the end of each trips etc. I think the general vlog theme of 'hard work' (in her case one day only with perfect weather and pleasant guests
) was to flex that she's actually held down some jobs - although the CV she recited seemed like more like a list of freelance gigs and temp roles. I think this vlog's further purpose was to increase the classic Positano content, with the mention of Skye now working on the boats occasionally perhaps a segue to her delivering that aspect of the channel in future now that Lady N has made it clear she'd rather be in Tuscany or the UK. It was also an undeclared ad for Bluestar, perhaps she feels she has to make up for dissing the many tourists who are their bread and butter.Very disrepectful of smarmy boat captain Carlo to mock the other Carlo, saying Nicki has two Carlos, one who is young, strong and fit, and her husband (or words to that effect) Needless to say Nicki joined in with the 'gag' and chose to include it on the vlog. And there he was ("your taxi") dutifully to pick her up when she finished 'work', sent home by the captain before the evening shift.

Noticed Carlo has been featured so much more these days. Skye seems totally disinterested when doing any presenting duties.

As for the leak under the sink, that's what happens when you do things slap dash. Sure more things will start falling apart in that morbid, crappy built villa.

There is something charming about the Positano home...it is completely a mish mash for so many things but that exterior area is nice ..for me the Tuscany place is just weird inside and the terrace. Of course the view is nice but nothing can compare to seeing some water and being up higher. I would have looked for a spot nearby in a town with parking near to the door...they exist and rented out the current home as Air BNB. But I think her goal is to distance herself from Carlo...there will be more and more he is Positano and she will be in Tuscany. I think Carlo really misses his children and family and she seems to not really care at all...prefers to hang with fellow YTubers and film glam shots.
I'm not entirely clued up on the areas of Nicki's life she glosses over, it's mainly thanks to you Tattlers I know any of the real gossip, but one thing I have wondered (now I've slogged my way through A Boatful of Typos on Kindle Unlimited)... how much of it is really autobiographical.
She's a narcissist through and through and so I don't doubt that this book is an attempt to romanticise her past in some thinly veiled way. It certainly felt personal, and not in a good way, when I was reading. Wasn't Carlo married when she went for him? Isn't he still potentially married?
And now we have a book about a stunningly beautiful and carefree English girl, centre of attention in an Italian town. She's so much smarter and more sophisticated than all these Italian brutes. One of them is married but of course the wife is some boring old layabout, so it's fine he cheats of course. And who wouldn't with such a stylish, exotic woman? She gets knocked up and it's fabulous, not irresponsible. And then woohoo! The drab wife dies of cancer so they can have their fairytale ending.
It just reads to me like a very romanticised, idealistic version of what she thinks she had (or has) with Carlo. Perhaps it isn't, I really do admit I only know the basics... but something in my gut tells me it is all Nicki's delusions on paper.

I think the fact that she had to self publish that book speaks volumes for how her talents were seen in the publishing world. Despite the big following she has on you tube nobody was interested.
