If I was 100% responsible for her name it would likely be Ariadne or Arietty. Former is Greek mythology Minotaur story and the other ‘The Borrowers’. I’ve loved both since I heard them in primary school.
i love Ariadne too. And Salome (pronounced Sall-O-May) Hubby vetoed both and argued if people can’t pronounce his fairly common name they won’t get “Ariadne”.... fair enough.

Girls - Madeline, Lily (but I feel it is too commonly used at the moment), Lavinia, Victoria, Elizabeth

Boys - Maximillian but otherwise generally more traditional names such as Matthew, James, Christopher etc

In addition to the ones I posted earlier on this thread -

Eilidh (gorgeous name)
Struan
Mhairi (V-arry)
Hamish
Angus

Clearly have went mad for Scottish names 😂

I love the name Eilidh and I've mentioned it in the past to friends and family because I rarely see it!

I like Addie for a girl, or Eilidh or Meredith. For boys I like three syllable names. Like Benjamin or Christopher or Alistair.

Eilidh is a lovely name. I’m Scottish and have only ever known one Eilidh as well. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Addie is nice, I dislike Maddie and would get annoyed if folk kept getting it wrong 😂

I'm not too keen on Maddie either because it's often the shorter version of Madeline which is meh, but I like Addie on its own.

I'm not even Scottish and I am not sure where I even heard Eilidh, I think it was over lockdown. I think it is because there are variations as well like Elidah and Alida. I'm half Dutch so it's probably where Alida came from 😄

These were on the shortlist for our children. I love so many girls names, we’re going to have to have lots of female pets so that I can use them all!

Flora
Jemima
Martha
Ariadne
Aurelié
Juniper
Tabitha
Hermione
Beatrix

I find boys names very difficult!

Rufus
Henry
Felix
Jasper
Cassius
Ted (abbreviated from a longer given name but could never decide what so didn’t use)

Girls -
Taith (means Journey in Welsh)
Evelyn
Astrid
Indi
Cariad (means Love in Welsh)
Atlas
Violet

Boys -
Cassius
Gabriel
Beau
Rocco
Ezra

I have three boys so I'm not putting their names down😆if I had a girl I am a massive fan of Stevie Nicks, so Stevie would have been a first choice, my second (probably not popular) would be Camilla, I like it (bit posh!) I work in a nursery and we have a girl called Renn which I think is lovely and unusual also Ezra for boys is popular and I really like also.
