I heard the name Sloane ( girl) the other day & absolutely love it.
Shame I'm 48 & too old for anymore kids

Oh that's a nice one I hadn't heard before. I really like girls names that almost sound like surnames/last names and Sloane sounds sort of like that. I quite like a girls name that almost sounds a bit masculine too.

This one is out there and I don't think I'd call my child it purely cos it would raise eyebrows and be hard for people to spell, but it's Ariadne (Ari-AD-nay)

If I was 100% responsible for her name it would likely be Ariadne or Arietty. Former is Greek mythology Minotaur story and the other ‘The Borrowers’. I’ve loved both since I heard them in primary school.
