I like Sylvia as a name, but I can’t see it on a child at all. It’s my grandmas name so I just see an old lady 😂

Haha that's what I mean really, it's a bit dated and doesn't really suit a baby. Same as a name like Gordon. Imagine having a newborn called Gordon?

I know someone who named their daughter something that rhymes with a Disneyland character - it's just cruel.

I cannot stand "Tammy". It sounds like tampon! Tamsin / Tamsyn is fine, but not its abbreviation.

"Brooklyn" is just stupid - male or female.

I work in a school and we had three Jayden’s in the same year and there were all spelled differently 🤦🏻‍♀️

Trying to pick baby names when you both work in schools is difficult, our sons name has appeared once but we usually get compliments on it.

my name has appeared once, though I don’t use it cause I hate it and it’s traditionally a male name.

Anything purposely spelt wrong drives me mad, Summa for instance. Or spelt in a way that makes it difficult to read especially when it’s pronounced like a common name.

I don’t understand how anyone looks at a cute little baby and calls it Craig, Frank, etc.

when the whole family rhymes or has the same initials.

I don’t understand the point of a middle name! Just give the child a name and be done with it!

Because I work at a nursery, there’s a lot of names I can’t stand but only because I associate them with a particular child. I tell you, finding a name for my daughter was challenging.

Anything rhyming with 'Ayden', double barrelled names, "unique" names, names with extra letters, riley, made up names like 'Caben', parents surnames being used as first names and I know there are others that bug me 😂😂

I imagine tie-lay-a, she made it up herself, that’s why you’ve never heard of it 😂
Thank you. Why would you do that to your child?? I must admit I am a bit of a traditionalist for names and prefer actual names with meaning. I personally like the name Clara for a girl because it’s one of my grandmother’s names.

I am not a fan of the names ending in on such as Jaxon and Harrison. I see them as surnames except for someone exchanged the Jack for Jax which I think is tacky.
