I have an intense dislike for these names (that probably aren’t used often these days)
Barbara
Donna

Names that are used today and I dislike:-

Kai
Kaison
Kayden
Jaden
GRAYSON (insta mummy go to name 😳🙄)

Any name double barrelled with “mae/may”
Lily / Lilly
Olivia
Gracie
Lexi (very porn star like imo. Also give her a full and allow Lexi as a nickname at least! 🙄)

I went to baby massage where one of the babies was named Ziggy.
I think it's.pretty cool... I wouldn't have the balls to call my kid that though. And I don't k ow how well they'd get a job.. can't picture it on a CV... They'll certainly stand out in a crowd !

Barry.

Who looks at a baby and thinks,”Oh, you look like a Barry”?? 😂

Think we need a revival of all the old names; Blanche, Deirdre, Vera etc. 😉 😂

Hayley, Bernadette and Pamela. I don't understand how you can look at a baby and think Pamela is a good name for it.

Double barrelled names... let’s discuss.

I once knew a fully grown adult woman who insisted on correcting people “actually my name is Sarah-Jane” until she got told to pipe down, get a grip and accept her name is f*cking SARAH!! 😡

Since then I’ve always had an intense dislike of adults (especially at work) insisting on the double names. It’s ridiculous.

On a different note I find a lot of “baby name” type threads over populated by a specific type of Mummy. One who describes names as “common” (with the insinuation that the recipient person would also be “common”) They are those Farrow and Ball, mumsnet, Emma Bridgewater mats obsessed with Waitrose and often name their brats names fitting to their aspirational “class” It’s 2020; let’s stop thinking in classist structures 🙄

Sorry, I was just using my best Boyzone Irish 😉😂
Frustrating I know how Mairead is pronounced too but only due to a crime in my general locality 😂

Some names are generally quite snobby, others quite chavvy. It’s just a fact, people with like minds from the same backgrounds/circles will tend to have the same tastes.

Someone posted about her little boy in a Facebook group I’m in the other day. Tygah-Blu. Genuinely the worst name I’ve ever heard.
