@Illnevertellxoxo

firstly I'm sorry this has happened, you will get through this , lots of girlie holiday / nights away etc and speaking from someone whos sister it happened to you will be absolutely fine. It took a while but she got there in the end .
I wouldn't piss on my sister's ex husband or his wife if they were on fire .

Go and have fun and he will be a distant memory....and he's going to cheat on your friend one day .

My husband had an affair... with my best friend.

my husband of 2 years and partner of 13 years had sex with my best friend in my house while I was sleeping.

6 weeks ago my life was torn apart by finding out the news that they had sex and for the last 6 months have been texting and calling behind my back.

I am heartbroken.

I found out this weekend hes been at her house and they are going to make a go of it. She’s telling people she wants a baby with him.

how does anyone recover from something like this? Has anyone gone through anything similar at all?

I don’t know how to navigate this sadness right now.. truly horrendous that those two people would treat me that badly. Shes been my best mate for the past 11 of those years and knows us inside out, I helped her through her divorce after her husband cheated on her with a stranger. I was there for her I helped her and was her shoulder to cry on and now she’s done this to me.
OMG I feel so sick for you. You deserve way better. I never use this word as it’s vile. But they are absolute bleeps.
How dare they abuse your trust.
All I can say is maybe these words mean nothing right now but you are better off without them.
I hope after you find time with yourself and heal you will find someone truly special who treats you with absolute respect.
Those two sound like they will not last. If they can treat someone so close to them like that then I guess their relationship is doomed from the start.
Please take time to heal, find your new self and most important don’t forget to love yourself. Of course you can cry etc but don’t get into depression for those two people. Your a queen and I’m so glad you have a supportive network.
This is not your fault. You deserve better so let them go.
I wish I could say more but I’m thinking of you and sending you lots of love and future happiness. More happiness then you ever experienced.

I couldn't begin to offer advice here but just wanted to say I am so sorry for what's happened. You most definitely deserved better and will be better off without either of them. Time heals all wounds eventually, I hope you will feel better soon.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, sending you so much love ❤

Do you have access to counselling? You shouldn't have to go through this alone
Also try to take comfort that karma will come back to get them

So sorry you are going through this. I've recently been through a heartbreak and my advice would be this...Find a good therapist, mine has been invaluable at helping me process and understand things so far. Don't let your ex or the woman or anyone who will feed back to them see how upset and hurt you are, this will feed their drama bond...Just disappear as far as they are concerned. And lastly just give yourself time, its been 10 weeks for me and I'm finally coming out the other side now, it sounds a long time but it's gone very quickly. I was certain at the start I would never feel better and I would go through my entire life feeling that initial pain... But honestly, you do feel better, just give it time. Sending all my love, keep strong x

Wow... so sorry that this happened to you. I don’t know what to say and I don’t have any advice but I do want to say that I will never get my head around things like this. What goes through their heads, it’s vile!

The women for getting with men that are married (especially if they’ve been cheated on themselves!), and the men for completely destroying their family. It’s just disgusting. If you’re not happy in your relationship then break it off! Cheating is so common it’s ridiculous, I just don’t understand it.

There’s a saying isn’t there, something along the lines of when a man gets with his mistress, he creates a vacancy. And how you get them is how you lose them! Both of them are vile, they will spend their days wondering what the other one is up to because both know that the other one is a cheat 🤮

Aw I'm so pleased it helped a bit. I used counselling directory (https://www.counselling-directory.org.uk/), I contacted a few therapists that I liked the sound of and one got back to me with the offer of a free consultation. I went to that and just knew we would be a good fit to work together. She spots things that I can't see because the pain and hurt clouds my vision of the situation, she tells me the reasons behind behaviours (mine and other people's), it's fascinating. I also get to spill all the hurt out and cry and know I'm not being judged and that feels so good. It's kind of given me a positive focus too 😊. Highly recommend it, take care of yourself and keep in mind that this pain will pass and you will feel better x

Wow, I don't really know what to say, what an utterly horrible pair they are, I'm so glad to hear your friends are all rallying around and looking after you - definitely look into counselling and as other posters have said, don't be afraid to talk to your friends and doctors if it gets too much. You've nothing to be ashamed of, and you deserve much happiness. ❤

I'm so sorry you're going through this, it's appalling how both of them have treated you.

She is manipulative and a total princess, she’s changed over the last 6 months to suit him.. all of a sudden her hobbies and likes changed into his... and he has fallen for it.
She won't be able to keep up this facade. The mask will slide once the realities of mundane life kick in.

she’s also been having an affair with another married man who’s got kids, since her divorce she’s been so bitter. Going after anyone and everything to fill the void of her unhappiness.
That's disgusting. She knows exactly how destroying this is but is still compelled to do it herself. She must have low self esteem. I'm not saying that to defend her as many of us have low self esteem but still have morals.

It will likely end how it started, in an affair. They might see it through for a little bit as they'll have something to prove. Great advice another poster gave "don't get bitter, get better". You will come out of this situation better. Although it's heartbreaking, you're already on higher ground ❤ his guilt will kick in. The guilt will probably linger for a while before he digests it, then it'll take longer before he'll admit any regret. That's often the way! I hope if he does come running you're in a strong, settled place.

I am so sorry you are going through this. It sounds as though you are in shock, which I completely understand. From my own experience, which you can take or leave, don’t make any hasty decisions about big life changes, get your finances in order, especially if you have joint accounts, speak to a solicitor to find out your rights and be kind to yourself.
I wish you well x

What utter people- the pair of them!

It’s a tit situation now but you will get through this. Hold your head up high and show them what lowlives they are. These things never last once the thrill of it all has gone and by then you will look back and realise what a lucky escape you have had. You can’t be with someone who treats you so poorly. You deserve the best and this idiot is not worth your time.

Practically, I would avoid engaging with either of them. Take any emotion out of this even if you have to fake it. Block her number. You have no reason to discuss anything with her. Cut her out of your life. Be civil if you need to talk to him regarding anything important. Get a solicitor involved to ensure you are financially protected.

All the best honey, it’s tit but it won’t feel like this forever. Things really do happen for a reason x

I don’t know where to begin with offering advice, but I’m so sorry that this has happened to you. I’ve recently been cheated on, although not to the same extent, and I’m sending so much love your way. Thinking of you and hoping you have lots of love and support around you x

If he cheated on you he'll cheat on her. What goes around comes around! Just be happy you've found out now before you've wasted anymore time on either of them. Blessing in disguise really. I know it doesn't feel like it now x

This is absolutely horrendous. I am so sorry for you. I have no real words of advice other than time is a healer. Their relationship won’t go anywhere - it’s built on deceit, deception and lies. You will have the last laugh with this x

I can't even begin to imagine what you must be going through, to be betrayed by 2 people you love and trust. I can only offer the following advice, which is how I like to think I would handle something like this:

Get a therapist. Cry, scream, shout. do everything you need to get the anger and hurt out. Then try to pick yourself up and move on.
Cut them both off. Completely. Obviously you will have stuff to sort out with your ex, but this can all be done through your solicitors. Change your number if you need to. Block them on social media.
Don't get bitter, get better. Throw yourself into a new hobby. Get your hair/nails done. Treat yourself to some new clothes. Sell your engagement ring and splurge on a designer bag. Spend time with family and friends. Just do everything you can to be the best version of yourself.
In time you will come to realise that you are truly better off without them both. It probably won't work out for them, and the pain they both experience because of that is exactly what they each deserve.
This is everything I wanted to say! Not married but found out a friend had slept with my ex whilst we were together. She treated it like it was nothing. If I learned anything it’s this: Hold your head high and rebuild. Tearing them down genuinely doesn’t help.
Most local authorities (if in U.K.) have talking therapies/counsellors you can self refer to at the moment without speaking to a GP- feel free to message if you need help finding yours! It feels like the end of the world now but in a few years you’ll be singing Beyoncé’s “Best Thing I Never Had” and mean every damn word!
