"Doctor here" "Teacher here" Naturally everyone was then expected to bow down to these almighty people.I had an account there a few years ago, deleted it after the data breach. I had a look when the Jack Monroe threads were up, fooking hell, what a mess.
"Ambulance, NOW."
Erm, alright then?
Plus, the chances of being a troll seems to be in direct proportion with how many fetuses a person claims to be pregnant with
And my favourite: "Man here""Doctor here" "Teacher here" Naturally everyone was then expected to bow down to these almighty people.
I'm NOT saying there's anything wrong with being a teacher or doctor, but on MN they always felt the need to announce it. A lot.
I HATE that, I imagine a booming voice announcing the plebs must stand down."Doctor here" "Teacher here" Naturally everyone was then expected to bow down to these almighty people.

oh god the teacher threads!! Thou must bow down. No other profession works as hard."Doctor here" "Teacher here" Naturally everyone was then expected to bow down to these almighty people.

Hahahaha this was me - I used to defend them fiercely because I had done that job and it was utterly soul destroying.God help you if you admit to being a doctor's receptionist, they are the rudest people on this planet! I really quite like mine, they are all lovely.

Going by the quality of posts, trolling, viciousness and cliques I'd say not at the moment but it might be worth nabbing the domain for the futureI could just launch mums.life in half an hour, it would be far far better than Mumsnet and just need people to move over. Not sure if it's worth saving though
I think the major problem is there are so many trolls on the site the people genuinely asking for advice either get lost in the system or are treated as a troll. @Itsallaboutmememe's post above is example of how dreadfully the powers that be treat people.I am obsessed with the aibu thread, just for a laugh. Some of the questions and replies are hilarious. I check tattle and aibu several times a day.
It is so toxic though, some of the responses are so frustrating and I feel sorry for people who are looking for genuine help.
I also find the AIBU thread fascinating. People get such terrible responses on there, responses can be horrifically argumentative but then people ask for advice about some really ridiculous things.I am obsessed with the aibu thread, just for a laugh. Some of the posters are treated like royalty despite being really nasty pieces of work. All posters are equal but some are more equal than others. There are a few well know and loved posters on there that troll and seem to get away with it.
This link isn't working for meHonestly I'm disgusted at Justine and the mismanagement of Mumsnet for years and it rounds it off the begging email. I'm starting something to do everything it should be doing. Who knows if it will take off. But at least I tried. There's no need to ask people for £50 when you've been making millions a year. It's fleecing lots of people that cant afford it.
