The trans threads on MN are really bleeping upsetting and while I believe some people have good intentions, there are so many people who walk the line of transphobia, not to mention the blatant transphobes. I am all for protecting single sex slaves, especially ones when they’re extra vulnerable like domestic violence refuges and hospital warns. I’m not personally impacted but I’m actually getting sick of the same old names.

A lot of them are blatantly made up to cause froth. There was one about toilets in a shop yesterday that was the biggest load of rit I’ve ever read.

Oh yes I’m sure. Sorry for the vent, everyone. We can go back to talking about Greggs and French thin people. 😂

The ones that always make me laugh are ones in the workplace or the supermarket where a mumsnetter will say something transphobic and everyone starts clapping and thanks her for being brave.

I'm a long time TERF type and I roll my eyes at the insistence of some Mumsnetters throwing in a reference to trans identifying men on every single thread. Eg. "I've never run before but would like to start can I just turn up to parkrun?
"Park run allow men to claim to be women and so the records are a sham. They cannot be trusted"

"I went on the M&S website and you still cant order to click and collect and half the range isn't there"
"M&S allow transwomen to use the changing rooms in the bra section, I hope they go bust"

"Can I use navel oranges to.make a tequila sunrise? "Navels are where we were joined to the placenta in our mothers. All humans are born from women, transwomen will never be pregnant"

bleeping give it a rest. You're making those of us fighting for single sex prison'/grape services and hospital wards etc sound absolutely unhinged.

Less than 50% of Mumsnetters would pass the key stage 1 SATs.

'The cat sat on the mat'
Q1 - where did the cat sit?

Mumsnetters answers-
'If the cat is biological male then it should not be sitting in any women's spaces. We are being ERASED as women!'

'Why are you so bothered about where a cat sits? There are children DYING in Gaza. Give your head a wobble.'

I agree with this, I have what I suspect is a wildly unpopular (with both sides) opinion about men who identify as women and I still don't think it would be as unpopular as people asking for advice about a business/product a business sells and being given a lecture about the transgender policies of the business.

TRA here 🏳‍⚧️😂. Mum to a trans adult daughter and duck me they spend more time wanging on about trans women and thinking about them then either myself or my daughter do and she has just had surgery and we don’t talk about it incessantly . It’s so bloody boring .
You sound like a TERF I could actually get on board with and maybe have a decent discussion with a positive outcome . We both take the piss out of MN for a start !!!!

"This is a thread where we all have to pretend we actually really, really do answer the door girls and make up hilarious sitcom scenarios"

edit- although the dog comment made me genuinely laugh loudly!

I like the idea of telling them they should be out having sex instead.

Right, up to my stifling hot bedroom now. It's cool outside. It's not there.
