Well I got banned for speculating about celebrity affairs, Never know what they mean by "not in the spirit of the site" considering most users rip the tit out of each other in most threads, particularly in AIBU and the passive aggressiveness is off the scale in the rest of them. Tattlers are much more friendly and supportive of each other and they reserve their venom for where it is actually deserved
I hated their “not in the spirit” BS. Just the perfect excuse to delete anything they felt like deleting. Especially if they didn’t want to upset any celebs that might be invited onto a web chat at a later date.

Has anyone read "to think DH should pull up PIL"... Honestly I cannot cope with the messages from the poster on there!
Anyone else spend half their time googling the stupid abbreviations? 😂

What’s their obsession with everybody being on ‘the spectrum’ if they dare say something they don’t agree with?! So odd.

They’re still moaning that oxbridge are letting in too many state school plebs, the sense of entitlement is staggering

If someone isn’t overly nice and accommodating to you, won’t do everything you want then to do, when you want them to do it and how you want them to do it there must be something ‘wrong’ with them - on ‘the spectrum’, narcissist, early onset dementia etc. Why else would anyone eg not want to do your childcare for free, question you in anyway, argue with you, look at you funny etc.

There is a thread on there at the moment about Logan the little boy murdered by his mum and her partner. So many of them are getting very defensive whenever anyone criticises women who can’t be on their own, introduce new men into their children’s lives too quickly and subsequently put the new partners needs first. One of them actually said ‘Am I supposed to be alone forever?!’ Well no and no one has actually said that either, just pointed out that’s it’s better to get to know someone first and gradually introduce them to their children before moving them in. You can just tell they are those needy women who can’t be alone and put their need for a bag above everything else, and then a few months down the line will be posting in relationships about how it’s all gone bits up and the kids and partner don’t get along,
A old friend’s mother did this. She still stayed with him even after he hit her daughter. It was really hard on the kids the most.

Jeepers, the new site is unusable.

can’t get beyond the sign in page, had the same log in details for years and it no longer recognises them.
Keeps throwing me off now enough though I have reregistered and the app no longer works.
if I do manage by some miracle to log in I get a cookies notification on every single page I open.

bloody awful

Anyone reading the Ukrainian guest thread?

Omg I JUST came across that one. What the hell. Some people are just on there to be absolutely horrible
Especially when she didn't even sign up to the scheme as a random do-gooder with a saviour complex* - she was specifically asked to do it as a favour for a friend and presumably felt this friend of a friend was likely to have been somewhat vetted, so to speak.

*not suggesting other participants are like this!

I don’t think that thread is real, tbh. There’s a regular troll (or several) who posts threads about doing something kind and wonderful for someone and suffering terribly as a result. The threads always include the recipient of the kind gesture being entitled/rude and shouting at or reprimanding the OP and demanding they do more for them.

Was looking at the threads for those trying to conceive, I know it’s a sensitive subject for some but why do they post pictures of their pregnancy tests that are very obviously positive but still ask others “is this positive??” 🤦🏽‍♀️ Same with tests that are negative “can you see another line??” when there is nothing there at all?
I hate those threads. Giving false hope to the negative ones is cruel as duck.

My mates GF dumped her kids on her parents over lockdown so she could move in with him. I had a go at him about it but he couldn't see what was so wrong as it was for her "mental health". Lost respect for him ever since then. She is absolutely one of those.

agree, it’s all very very sad to me. seeing women so desperate for a child they’re testing every hour is just depressing, and there’s always some wanker going on about how they miiiiight see a line, maybe?

The Ukrainian guest thread is awful and I hate all the racist stereotypes posted on that thread. Also the comment about “they can find counselling for them and not us” to be shocking.

With the Logan thread, I had a colleague who had two girls and she was either newly single, looking to date and in a relationship, it would change every time I saw her. She would introduce the new partners to her kids after 2 months of dating and make out they were a happy family despite the kids being anxious and unhappy. She wonders why her girls are so unhappy all the time and I think all the different men coming in and out of their lives is a big part of it. I think she’s one of those women who can’t be alone either.

The Ukrainian guest one is indeed awful. And yes there’s nowhere near enough support for people leaving war torn countries who may well be in need of trauma counselling. We don’t even get enough for our own families but that’s not the fault of the Ukrainian people (or anyone else) who moves here . The answer lies in campaigning not in blaming some poor sod who is deeply traumatised by the war they have moved away from.
