especially the last part. I do not have autism or ASD, I am autistic, it is all of me and what makes me, me. And the reason my friends love me (and no doubt others dislike me, but that’s life!) If Ronnie is autistic she needs to adapt for him, forcing him to act like a neuro typical child will cause trauma. It takes a long time to undo that. I’m still working on it.
On another note, This thread (and the previous) has made me feel so welcome - just by the way in which you speak of neuro diversity, it’s the reason I am trying to join in more, so thank you all

Hasn’t she mentioned wanting a proper utility room a lot in the past? I don’t understand why she doesn’t just do it - the garage is next to the kitchen isn’t it? They could knock a doorway through. Would be used a lot more than a mud room with a cheap old church pew in it FFS

I used to work in a playgroup and we had little aprons for the kids to do painting or messy play but I still don’t think it looks like he’s even had a snack with that top on as most kids that age will spill or mess a little bit while eating their snack and milk or juiceNot necessarily, depends what they’ve been doing. Could have been reading books and doing songs with actions, could have been playing inside as it’s so hot.
I just hope he had fun
